A great location for waking up to the striking mountain views of Northern Vietnam. It’s situated just outside of town and a great starting point for adventures outside of the city center. A suitable higher end experience for the region.
However, there are downsides. Some have been mentioned in other reviews such as the food, the cleanliness of the sheets, and outsiders using the pool; but that’s not too big a concern for me personally.
One unmentioned downside is the amount of bugs. If you spend any time in the outdoor common areas, you’ll definitely be swarmed by hornets and other bees. This may be an inevitable part of a stay in the hillside but to those turned off by things like that, keep that in mind. I also found two massive spiders in my shower, one of which was kindly taken care of by hotel staff.
If you need a more sanitary stay, there’s a big luxury hotel in the city center. But if you don’t care about critters and you wish to be in nature, this is an optimal accommodation; especially since Cao Bang itself is...
Read moreWe had an amazing time here, extremely grateful that we could check in early at 6am as that’s when our bus from Hanoi arrived in Cao Bang. The staff were all very friendly, attentive and helpful, we had no issues with the service.

Location is about 10 minutes from the town but it’s only about 50-60k for a taxi. We left our bags here whilst we did the Cao Bang loop. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Cao Bang looking for a quiet, relaxing place with an amazing view of the mountains!
The food here is also so good, portion sizes are big and it’s all presented...
Read moreThis is absolutely stunning looking property but it is badly let down by poor management and service. We arrived and were taken to our rooms. No welcome or no information booklet. Dinner in the restaurant was ok but the staff hovered over us while we perused the menus and chatted and laughed together which was very off putting. There was absolutely no insulation between rooms. I was able to conduct a conversation with my son in the next room without even raising my voice! No privacy at all. I then asked for a late check out, only to be told they were fully booked but there were still rooms available on Booking.com! This could be a beautiful place to chill for a couple of days but they really need to ‘up their game’ to make...
