Hoàng Công Homestay — Hotel in Cao Bằng Province

I recently went up to Cao Bang to complete the loop and see the Ban Gioc waterfall and the caves.. this lovely Homestay is in the perfect location, only 10 minutes by scooter. Set at the foot of beautiful mountains, the serenity makes you feel calm and grounded. It is an amazing insight into the way a traditional Vietnamese family operates within their own home which is an experience I didn’t know I needed to have; but am now very grateful for the opportunity. The hosts cook you traditional food and you eat it as you meet like minded travellers staying with you. This was one of my favourite and most cherished memories during my trip to Vietnam. Best place in Vietnam so far. The family is lovely. She is learning English quiet fast and things that she dont understand she can use google translate quiet well so the conversation is clear and fluid. Family dinner was amazing. Really big portions and very tasty with a lot of options to choose. The location was perfect for us. Local neighborhood very quient and chill and close to the caves and the waterfall. This was a special experience, we spent one night here and we were welcomed into the family. The food was yummy and plentiful and the cat and dog (so cute and friendly) were a lovely bonus. Our host was welcoming and kind and gave us excellent recommendations for the area. The homestay is located in a beautiful little village. To find it via vehicle, when you are close to the homestay switch to 'walking' directions on Google, they will help you to navigate your way, you can take your bike over the bridge.
