Lysa and her husband Thong (and their little daughter) have welcomed me with open arms. I was feeling like part of the family during my 3 days stay. The hosts are lovely, friendly, can communicate in english and they were really helpful with everything I needed. You can book busses, taxis, guided tours (Lysa is a local guide) and rent motorbikes. The included breakfast was always nice and so were lunch and dinner, cooked on order and really fresh delicious local dishes.
Don’t be fooled by the less reviews as this young, lovely family just started their homestay a few months ago.
Another thing I’d like to highlight is the curiosity of Lysa and her husband about peoples lifes, they are eager to learn about different cultures without being intrusive.
You can spend the evening together and chat or if you want to have a quiet one, that’s perfectly fine too.
I can’t recommend Lysa’s homestay enough.
It’s a little tricky to find the first time. When you take the winding road down from the main street, turn right before the bridge amd you’ll find the house after about 600 meters.
All the best for your future and take care Lysa, Thong and Two...

Very comfortable beds, and an incredible view out the window: mountains, terraced hillsides with rice paddies as far as the eyes can see! A beautiful river down in the valley bottom - the sounds of the river water soothed me to sleep every night! Excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner every day! They taught me many Vietnamese language words and phrases. And Lysa is the best trekking guide in all of Sa Pa! If you have a chance to stay at Lysa House Homestay - do it! You won't be...

And Lysa, I'll ba...
