Gia Hạ House — Hotel in Da Lat City

This place is an absolute gem. A lot of places in Vietnam beg for (sometimes false) 5 star reviews, Tin and his family do not need to do this with the beauty of their property and fantastic service offered. Tin has a young daughter who speaks amazing English and was able to assist during check in, for the rest of the stay google translate was used absolutely fine. The view from the room was unbelievable during the day and night and the room has everything you need including dining table and comfy sofa/chair. The location is a 15 minute taxi ride from the city centre and nice and peaceful away from the hustle of Da Lat. Only 1 fork in the whole kitchen, leak in the bathroom, dangerous staircase, only one size towel, bathroom lights flickering and it was SO cold even when it was hot outside. There were also lots of stray dogs barking at all hours. The main problem we had was we felt quite uncomfortable because of the MANY passive aggressive signs stuck to every surface. Very off putting and ruined any elegance the apartment had. The owner also came and told us off for putting our shoes by the door inside the apartment instead of on the shoe rack outside... We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Tín’s apartment! The view is an absolute highlight and potentially one of the best in Da Lat with an equally as gorgeous apartment. He greeted us when we checked in and explained the very fair house rules (such as no shoes in the room and to leave on the safe shoe rack outside the room - a norm in Vietnam). Tín also let us rent his motorbike for 3 days at a very good price and responded quickly to all requests and questions on Airbnb.
