We had a warm welcome to this guesthouse which provided a much needed coffee on arrival after a morning of driving. We stopped here for the night so we could visit the Vinh Hoc Tunnels which were about an hour north along a beautiful scenic coastal road. When we got back in the evening we were offered dinner for 30/40k for which we were presented with more food than we could finish! The family will make sure you have everything you need to make yourselves feel at home, and the young boys, Phuc and Bin, ensure there are no language barriers with their fluent English! There is no breakfast provided but we asked the evening before if they could prepare something for us, so we paid around another 30k for noddles / fruit. The room is spacious and bathrooms looked like they had recently been refurbished. Everything is kept clean. The only improvement could be the mattress which is quite hard. Oh and the barking dog in the neighbourhood could be tamed!! All in all a very pleasant experience and excellent value for money - would highly recommend if looking to stay...

I have stayed at a few different places considered a "homestay" while visiting here, but this is the real deal. The family is so kind, sweet and welcoming. The two young sons Bin & Phuc are so good at speaking English, and they will help translate conversations with their parents. We had an amazing dinner cooked by the mother, (she even cooked me a vegetarian meal!) and we sat around all evening sharing stories and laughs around the table. This is by far my favorite local experience I've had so far in Vietnam. And the location is great if you'd like to visit the different areas of the DMZ. They even offer tours if you don't have your own bike. If your just a traveler passing through and want an authentic experience, you should stay at this...

😊: The only positive was the price. The staff were quite nice. 😢: We booked this cheaper place as we knew we would spend the days out exploring and only use it as a base to sleep. But the room was completely damp. All of our belongings got damp over the 2 nights we spend there. Even with the fan on it didn’t help. The floor was wet with condensation and it became very slippery.

Also there was no duvet cover which is too weird for a hotel. The wetness made everything smell musty

The staff were nice and called us a taxi. But actually grab does work in this area.

Even for the price I would not stay there again if I...

This is my second time returning to the hostel. As a long distance solo bicycle tourer, I have stayed in many hostels and this is definitely one of the best values. The room without AC is priced at 170K, which is good enough for me. Meals are also available at a price ranging from 30K - 50K. I ordered the Mi Xao, which is a surprisingly big portion with lots of vegetables. The owners of the hostel are very friendly and concerned. My bicycle lock was broken so they cleared out an area near their house for me to park my bicycle. If I am passing through Dong Ha again, I will definitely come to stay here. Best value in town!!

This outside of the city about 3km on the road to Khe Sanh. There are many nhà nghỉ in this area but I chose this one because of the good reviews. The bed is quite big and I really like the mattress. However, the pillows were too low. The hosts were super friendly and it's cheap!
