We arrived around 18:30 and took us sometime to find the host. The homestay was empty, but we found someone in the next house which is little bit hidden and he called the host which came soon. They prepare for us dinner which was very nice and big. Whole place is quite nice. Lot of insect during night of course. Only one thing was kind of strange for us, they didn’t want to tell us the price for accommodation or for food. I even try to draw pictures. Host can speak a little English but didn’t want to say the price. Next morning after breakfast we finally got a bill. We still don’t know the prices, but total for 2 persons - 1 night, dinner, breakfast, 6 beers we paid 680k Dongs. Which I think is little bit overpriced in comparison whit other places in this area. Read moreThe owners are so kind and helpful. Felt that I was at my home. The house is so awesome. It' s a stilt house and so unique. I hope to have it for my own. About the food, lunch and dinner were full of dishes. The owners made it by themselves and they were totally local food. The taste was great as well. Around Nam Soong homestay are all terraced field which are actually breath-taking and amazing. The scene is perfectly ideal for backpackers and terraced field are even recognized as the Vietnamese national heritage. I had experience in 2 hours of a walking tour with the owners. He led me around the homestay and to beautiful landscape nearby. He can also guide tourists in other 2 or 3 days by walking to discover the manificence of continous mountain ranges, streamsand waterfalls. Love it so much. Looking forward to back here in...
Read moreStayed here for 3 days. The place is a traditional hut with Western style toilets and hit shower. Food is great and I really enjoyed the motorbike tour, although it's advices to have some motorbike experience if you plan to drive yourself. Hiking through the rice terraces was also very nice. Excellent prices, beautiful surroundings and no tourists around (unlike Sapa)....
