Felila Hostel & Tours — Hotel in Hà Giang

This is a very nice hostel to stay. We booked for 4 nights to do the loop. From the moment of arrival to check out this hostel I have to say is of very high standards. In fact it has been better than some hotels I have stayed in. You can book a private room or dorm. The hostel is extremely clean the staff are super helpful and so so nice. They really do go over and beyond to ensure your stay is very nice. They have on site mopeds which you can rent to do the loop. The private room has air conditioning and also a fan. The bed is extremely comfortable and everything about this hostel is clean comfortable and enjoyable. There is nothing bad to say about this place. I would highly recommend you stay in this hostel as part of your Ha Giang loop. Use it as your base or both to stay and sleep. The hostel is not located in the centre of Ha Giang it is approximately 3.2 km away however this is not an issue as you would be renting a moped in any event for the loop so you can moped into town for restaurants etc etc. The hostel is very safe secure and they also have breakfast optional extra but the breakfast is very nice and worth it to start your day before you head off. It is the first hostel I have ever stayed which to me is hotel standard but for the price of hostel budgets. It is very easy to get taxi into town as the staff will organise if you need one and it is not expensive to get taxi to town if you need one. Oh and an added bonus this hostel has HOT WATER for showers which in Vietnam can be very hit or miss. Here you are guaranteed hot showers. I can’t say enough about this place! I stayed in one of the dorms and it’s honestly the most comfortable and cleanest dorm room I’ve used in Asia so far. Great privacy in the design of the bunks and very comfy mattresses. Everything feels brand new and bathrooms and showers are great also.

As for the tours, the owner Kien and his colleague Max planned a guided tour of the Ha Giang loop and a few days after that an amazing extended loop to Cao Bang, Gods Eye Mountain and Ban Gioc Falls. I never would have done this extra trip without their help and guidance but it was really special finding spots that most tourists miss!

Also, Kien and Max both speak excellent English so gave some great tips for food places around town (ask them about the Banh Mi Chao place!!) and Kien even came to the mechanic with me to help get a few issues fixed on my own motorbike. Thanks again for a great stay and such great...
