Staying at Mr. Win Homestay in Ha Giang was an unforgettable experience that felt like stepping into the heart of Vietnamese culture and hospitality. This family-run homestay, where three generations live under one roof, offers an incredibly authentic and enriching stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the family, whose kindness and helpfulness truly set the tone for our visit. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home, sharing stories and ensuring you have everything you need. The food was absolutely delicious, simple and fresh from their garden and sourced locally from the village. Every meal was a delightful showcase of traditional flavors, lovingly prepared. The room was cozy, with an extra-comfortable mattress that provided the best sleep I’ve had in ages. Waking up to the breathtaking view of rice fields, complete with grazing buffalo, ducks, fishs, was magical and serene—a true escape from the rush of daily life. Mr. Win Homestay is more than just a place to stay; it’s a window into the beauty of rural life in Vietnam, where every detail is infused with warmth and authenticity. We feel so grateful for this experience and cannot recommend it enough. Thank you to the wonderful family for such a...

This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Staying at Mr Win homestay was like entering an oasis! The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Our room had a patio outfitted with relaxing chairs. There, you can enjoy a drink while taking in the local scenery. The rooms have terrific aircon, super comfy beds, and lots of hot water for a shower. The Win family are some of the kindest and generous people you could meet. Tong (Mr. Win's son), speaks good English and was able to tell us a great deal about their village and the Tay culture. Mr. Win, his wife and DIL, are very kind and interesting people. Their granddaughter is as cute as a button and very funny. Additionally, the food was delicious! This is a great place to relax before heading to Hanoi. Tong's brother owns a Taxi, lives next door and can drive you where you need to go. All-in-all, I wish I could give it 10 stars 🤩. I...

Mr. Win's Homestay is, without a doubt, the most beautiful and tranquil place I’ve ever stayed. The rooms were spotless, well-designed, and naturally cool, so air conditioning wasn’t necessary—though one was still available if needed. The bathroom was surprisingly modern and very comfortable.

Waking up to the view of the rice fields was a dream. Everything about the setting was serene and picturesque. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was Mr. Win’s incredible hospitality. He and his family went above and beyond—preparing a private romantic dinner for my girlfriend and me, and even waking up early to make us breakfast at 5:30 a.m. so we could catch our 6:30 bus. His brother kindly drove us to the stop. Everyone was warm, humble, and full of smiles the...

We had an opportunity to stay a night at Mr Win Homestay in Ha Giang. The rooms and surrounding by lush rice fields, lotus ponds and traditional village life, welcoming ambience. The bangalow’s rooms were well equipped with modern facilities and a balcony facing the lush rice padi field. Very tranquil. The dinner was served with delicious local fare and with Mr Win welcoming “Happy Water”. For breakfast, we had a delicious pho (noodles soup), coffee/tea and bananas! Mr Win and his family were very friendly and accommodating. Mr Win does speak some basic English, hence, we were able to communicate at ease with minor translations. Overall, a wonderful and memorable stay at Mr Win Homestay! Highly recommended if one’s heading to Ha Giang!

I very rarely rate something 5 stars in all aspects, but it’s very hard to fault this place. For starters, it is located in a small peaceful village in the ricefields, with a backdrop of mountains - amazing scenery. Next, Mr Win and his family are extremely friendly and they made us feel very welcome. Next, the room we stayed in was extremely clean and had working aircon, couldn’t fault it. Finally, the food cooked by Mr Win’s partner was SUPERB, possibly the best food I have eaten in Vietnam. We loved our stay and we couldn’t recommend it more if you’re looking for an authentic Vietnam experience, outside of the otherwise very touristy Ha Giang city
