Lee Homestay — Hotel in Hà Nội

It took some time for us to find the entrance to the place, but it's the little walkway in the alley with no gate, but an automatic light. The owner is really attentive, he was there waiting even if our plane arrived at 1 am or so, and even if we came back from our travels at around that time as well. The shared bathroom is well-cleaned and their yard is really pretty-- too bad we didn't have time to sit in their garden more and drink tea!

When we left, Mr. Lee drove us to the airport himself.

The thing I wished could improve is to have a place to hang more clothes in the bedroom, and a fridge we nightowls can access 24/7 (the door closes to the kitchen when Mr. Lee sleeps for the night). Other than that, the place is a nice little respite from the city hustle and bustle, and if you go to the highway, there are cafés and convenience stores still open way into the night, so it's not much of a trouble to get the things you need 3 kilometers away. But the homestay has water, coffee and a laundry service available right in the area.

Sidenote: their corgie, Bop, is so adorable but a little fiesty. Best not to excite...

We stayed at Lee's homestay as we wanted to be close to the airport and it really was the ideal location! You still have shops and restaurants around, so aren't isolated. The home is very quiet and peaceful, the family is absolutely lovely! Lee and his wife really went over and above for us. His wife spoke to our sleeper bus driver and arranged for him to drop us off close to her house. Lee then picked us up from there at 3am in the morning - for free!! He also took us to the airport for a very affordable rate and invited us for coffee. The room was very big, the shower worked well. We would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone, even if you're just looking for a more quiet neighborhood of Hanoi and don't need to go to...

Our stay here was just lovely 🥰 My partner and I booked a room but selected the wrong dates by accident, when we arrived at Lee‘s Homestay they were super helpful and still had a spare room for us even though they were completely booked out ☺️ the room we got was really nice and we enjoyed staying there ❤️ The best part about the Homestay for us was defently the garden area, with the koi pond, bunch of plants 🌱 Bob (cutest dog) and the little kitty 🥰 We loved cooking in the kitchen, it had everything anyone could need to cook. Overall we recommend staying here and we would come back anytime ☺️ Lee and his family are just so lovely and welcoming. Thank you for having us 🙏🏼
