Mường Thanh Luxury Xuân Thành Hotel — Hotel in Hà Tĩnh Province

We’re a travelling couple, stayed in Vinh for 2 nights at this hotel. Check in was easy and they accommodated us despite arriving a day late. They understood.

Hotel is beautiful, and we were greeted with luggage service, even though we arrived at 10.30pm. Staff were so helpful - we were only 1 of maybe 4 or 5 rooms in the whole hotel because of the winter coming, but they did everything they could to accommodate us. It was strange being in such an empty hotel but the staff made us feel at home - always smiling, always saying hello.

They did not have much European food from the menu because of the low season, but instead cooked fresh, lovely Asian dishes for us. The quality was really good - and we take food seriously 🤣

Bao on the front desk was fantastic for us, helping us to get a taxi when we were struggling, and had lots of recommendations for our onward travels - thank you.

Also a mention for Thang - we chatted through a translation app whilst watching the sea, he answered all my questions and he was a great guy, very friendly, but also looked after us when we went to the pool. The staff also helped me with setting up the gym despite it being low season and barely anyone around.

Everything was great. The only thing we did not realise, was just how far from from everything this hotel is - but we enjoyed the peaceful two days overlooking, and walking down the beach. I’m being generous with 4 stars because there are some good people here but honestly I would be surprised if this place is still open this time next year. It’s a massive, I mean absolutely huge but empty oceanfront hotel; fully staffed (over staffed) but the employees outnumber the guests by at least 10-1.; probably 20-1 on any given day. No one comes here. There is nothing to do in the immediate area. Because of lack of clientele there is a lack of food. The buffet breakfast has been scrapped, understandable so and many menu items aren’t available. The dining room staff is poorly trained which tells me the dining room supervisor is also, manager etc. Their performance was really a sad struggle; clueless. When I ordered something and the “chef” said “we don’t have” it was never communicated to me; my server went on break. I don’t think it’s a cultural thing but rather management here is just awful. There’s plenty of them here, standing around, attending meetings; it was a horror movie come to life. There were some standout individuals that went above and beyond to help me reach my next destination when transport became an issue. These people deserve better positions somewhere else. FACILTIY/ROOM Mường Thanh Luxury Xuân Thành Hotel is part of a Vietnam high end hotel chain that serves mostly the domestic tourism. You will find this brand of the hotel in many less developed areas of the country.

The hotel is fairly new. It started to operate in 2019. The room is clean. The bed is below average for its class. We got upgrade to the sea view without charge that overlooks the hotel’s pool on the ground.

Breakfast is mostly Asians and very limited.

LOCATION The hotel is located in a low development area of the country. The beach front is average.

SERVICE This hotel has good management. The majority of the employees are well trained, doing their jobs and keep to themselves. As said, this chain of hotel mainly served the domestic tourism; hence, English speaking may not a requirement for the staffs.
