I am honestly 50/50 about my stay in the Ngan Ha Hotel. I gave it a very good rating because the room was lush: it was a great size, the bed was super-comfortable, it had air-conditioning, a fridge, and hot-water (although it did run out quickly). The housekeeping did a great job preparing our room, and you could tell that it was done thoroughly.||The downside to our stay, was the thumping/vibrating music that came from either downstairs or a building next door on a mid-week night. It did not stop until well after 12am and we were due to get up to ride over 300 kilometres the next day - after already riding 250 kilometres that day. We asked for a quiet room at check-in and nothing was said about excessive noise. Fortunately, we knew the party was close to being over downstairs as we were woken by a man vomiting outside our door. It was truly a stay that was unlucky for us, so that is why I am 50/50.||Also, the next morning we missed breakfast by 5 minutes (which would have been nice to know at check-in) and they refused to let us eat. The rude part is that they still ended up charging us for breakfast anyway.||I am thankful that Ha Tinh had a Lotteria and some good Banh ladies, or I would have...
Read moreThe beds are comfortable, and the staff at the front desk makes an effort to be helpful, but the property has clearly seen better days. The balcony was unsafe, with a missing railing, posing a serious safety concern. Breakfast was disappointing — the fried rice was very dry, there was no coffee available in the breakfast area. The coffee was located elsewhere and there was first no staff in sight. When someone finally appeared, she confidently took my order, and then took astoundingly time to bring me a coffee that had no resemblance with what I ordered.
Edit: I just learned that my friend paid for my coffee this morning (which was of course not the one I ordered). So, of all the +1500 hotels that I have stayed at all over the world, this one is the first that does not offer coffee for breakfast. Is this terrible or something special, worthwhile a...
Read moreI made a reservation through Booking.com, but the room information was incorrect and the room I was shown did not have the facilities listed. I was very disappointed. When I make a reservation, I always check that the facilities I want are available before making a reservation, and I think that if there is a discrepancy in the facilities listed, this kind of trouble is likely to occur. Both the hotel and the OTA need to properly check the facilities listed. It's a shame because it's a good hotel. If this kind of thing happens, there may be more customers who are disappointed like me in the future. If the check-in service is poor, it will leave a bad impression on...
