Hotel is dirty, rooms are dilapidated and the building is poorly maintained. You can't check in at the hotel - you have to cross the road to check in at the Sakura Hotel instead. The female staff there were pleasant enough but the male staff member who checked us in was rude and seemed uninterested in being there. Parking is also at Sakura, rather than in the Hoa Dao facility.
Room amenities are poor - there was no soap (the soap dispenser wasn't even attached to the wall, it was just in pieces on the bench), and there was only one small tube of body wash and shampoo in the room despite it being a twin with two occupants.

Read moreMediocre at best. We were told we were getting an upgraded VIP room but clearly a sign at the front desk said our room was a deluxe. No matter - I wasn’t comfortable. Air conditioner was too small to cool the room. Room was clean enough. Bathroom was oddly quite large - probably as large as the rest of the room. It was was made up of three separate rooms: toilet, shower, bathtub. Breakfast was intensely weak. Instant coffee, instant noodles, unappetizing looking banana. I went with...
