This hotel is very well built, very clean with a great shower. The rooms are large, have plenty of windows, with both insect screens and curtains, and ours had a small balcony. Could not fault the room in any way. The hotel is a little out of town but nothing that a walk or cheap taxi ride can’t fix. They don’t have a restauarant and we like to have two cups of coffee on waking. It was like pulling teeth trying to extract two more sachets of coffee from the staff (which we had to do each morning of our stay) eventually we did a swap for our unused tea bags! Little things make the difference.||First impressions are the ones that stay. We arrived at midnight after a 15hr Drive. The reception staff were aware of our arrival time and they do have 24hr reception. We were met with a very sour face. Asked my name, then demanded passports. When we explained about needing to get to our room as the passports were locked in our bag, she then demanded payment even though our credit card was held on making our booking through Books.com. We needed to get angry (which wasn’t hard after that drive) to actually get in the room. Nice hotel but staff (particularly one member) needs a course on...
Read moreLike the other reviewers, we only stayed here as it was close to the airport. We came here from our Halong Bay cruise as we were flying from HaiPhong airport the next day. We arrived in the afternoon and went for a walk to find some food. There were a few restaurants about a mile down the road on the same side. However they didn’t speak any English and we had no idea what we were ordering. Food was good though. I had the pleasure of seeing a rat get run over and a used syringe on our walk. The hotel itself was clean and modern and we had some laundry done which was nearly the same price as the room for a carrier bag full. The staff don’t speak great English but it was ok for an airport stop over. They paid for our taxi to the airport in the morning. It’s literally a 5...
Read moreThe hotel is Near the airport, and easy to find - 1 km. They Were awaiting us, but the portier didn’t bother to take our bagage. No one spoke english. There is no minimarket nearby, and when we had taken the water in the minibar and wanted som more, they didn’t have the key to the waterstock. We Were on the Ground floor - Lots of noise from the reception most of the night. The breakfast is served in the room, and is average. Toast could have been better with some butter and jam. Check out went smothly when we took the bagage to the taxi ourself. They called for the taxi though. Room is a little small but fine -...
