Very very disappointed! The room is old and shamesless dirty. The service of the reception is poor and can not speak English. The pushy manners are irritating. After check in we had immediately to decide if we want breakfast next morning of not. There were no much choices so we choose noodles soup with beef for 80.000 VND (very pricy). Then we have been told that the breakfast start from 7 till 10 am and check out time 12 am. Next morning at 8.20 am there was a call from the reception. They want us to go upstairs to have our breakfast (not even ask but demand!) right now. After muttering (their English is hardly to understand) they hung up. The noodles soup served quick while we just have our seat in the breakfast room. After breakfast we went back to our room. Then at 11.30 am they rang again and told us we have to check out the room. Then I said but it is about 30 minutes and we are not ready yet to check out. Again after muttering they hang up.||I shall highly NOT recommend this hotel. Not only because the poor room and unkind reception but also the environment of the hotel area. There are barely restaurants or supermarket. The area felt even a little bit scary. No, I will never go back there again. If there is a chance to give ‘zero’ star for this hotel I will...
Read moreThe price is reasonable. The room was nice and clean, the shower is good. However when I came to the hotel (with booking already paid), the receptionist realized that we are Vietnamese, so even I had noted in my booking that I'd prefer to stay on higher floor, she put us on the 2nd floor with explanation that the views on those floor are the same (I attached the picture of the view, definitely not a reason for you to curl the curtain) - she also remind us to keep quiet in our room because most of their customers are "foreign businessmen". It was a very rude attitude even for a 2-3 star hotel. We did not come to make noise or to break your rules! Our short trip to Haiphong was to take a foody tour and the staffs later then seemed to be helpful with giving recommendations, but the receptionist's attitude when we first came definitely...
Read moreLook, you get what you pay for! I read a few other reviews on this hotel mentioning that there are not many restaurants nearby or that the rooms were dirty. Personally I didn't come here to have multiple choices of restaurant on the doorstep and I just can't see how anyone would be presented with a dirty room here. Maybe the cleaner was having an argument with the owner? Rate I paid was $30 a night. Maybe a post-COVID-19 special rate, yes, but the only other hotel that I have stayed in that was equally good value for money and as clean and friendly is the one I reviewed in Vung Tau previously. You could do a lot, lot worse. Great little hotel, with a great name to boot. Well done...
