Excellent retreat and the staff are super friendly and kind. The location is somewhat idyllic.||The retreat offers dinner which was always tasty and healthy. ||However there are a few small tricks that they are missing out on. Irs these small things that mean it's not possible for me to give the retreat full marks. ||As kind as the staff are, communication is poor. Transport links exist to move around but there's no info in the rooms or reception about it. It's up to the guest to know this and ask about it. ||There are plenty of walks, cycles and day trips available. Again no information provided. It's expected the guests to know the walks and cycles.||A simple information pack per room or at reception would really help.|||The breakfast and dinner was very tasty and healthy, but as a person who is active in sports I was always on the edge of hungry. Read moreWe were a party of 5 that stayed for two nights. We shared a 2 bed and 1 bed room. ||We were welcomed with smiles, excellent service and great energy. ||All meals were healthy, large in portion size, and we're flexible to vegetarian dietary requirements for some of the group.||We hired bicycles for a day, and we were shown around some local rice fields. We reached a point where the host gave us some guidance, and left us to explore and find our own way around which made for a nice adventure. A swim in the clean pool is the perfect refreshing activity after this.||The resort is 15-30 minutes out of Mai Chau town, and accessible by bus. We were happy to stay at the retreat and have a break from the busy Viet streets for a while. ||The amenities are excellent, and seem to be pretty new. Tea, beer and other refreshments were always available. | |Although communication in English wasn't so free-flowing, the use of Google translate and a good attitude went a long way. ||INCREDIBLE value for money, coming from Australia. We will definitely be back when in this neck...
