I stayed at this hotel in Dec 2018 and also booked the excellent trip through their parent company, and overall the experience with them was excellent! ||||As a solo female traveller I booked airport transfers with them (for a fee) before I arrived and it was very nice to have someone waiting for me to drive me to the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, the staff were so welcoming and did an excellent job going over the details of my reservation before personally escorting me to my room. ||The location of the hotel is near Saigon river, walking distance to the surrounding shops, restaurants and markets. As a first time visitor to Vietnam, the traffic in Hochiminh took a little getting used to, but I managed to walk everywhere I needed to go! Just follow the lead of the locals!||Staff also help me to book a massage at the spa during my stay there and it was all handled very well, the massage therapist didn't speak very much english, but she was trained well and I got a good massage. ||The restaurant offers a good variety of meal choices along with a nice view, but for an even better view.||All in all, what really made my experience in Hochiminh was the staff at this hotel, they were so friendly and were always available to answer my questions and ensure my stay was going well. This was so valuable to me as a solo female traveller since it can be a bit intimidating being in a new country with a different language and customs but I never felt alone in Hochiminh with my friends at Hoa phat Hotel...
Read moreWe have had a good stay at this simple but good accomodation. Positives- swimming pool on ground level Very reasonable price River bus to district 1 cuts the time spent in traffic. Clean big rooms They had no problem with us bringing our own drinks and snacks in from outside, as their stock is limited Good smoothies and simple but nice breakfasts English speaking staff Easy to get to the Giga mall 2.6 km down the road with Grab.
Slightly less positive- No tea, coffee or water on arrival and the rooms were not serviced until we asked. This was rectified. Pool area doesn’t seem to be maintained - kids pool not working, pool loungers were dirty, as well as the bathroom. This was rectified. It’s hard as westerners to find food in the area - as limited English spoken, but hotel does have a reasonable menu. We didn’t try the food. Charge 60000VND per kg for laundry. We found a local laundry a few km away that charges 7000VND per kg ( Dich Vu Giat on google) - but one has to spend to get grab to take you and collect, so only worth it for large amounts as we had.
Recommend: go for a massage at Annhien Spa and therapy. 1 hour full Body massage 220000VND for ladies or 270000VND for men. Directions - not on goggle maps. 3 min walk. Leave the hotel and walk up to the main road. Turn right. Cross the first side street and it’s about 100m further on. Look for the big green sign Saying Annhien spa and therapy. Basic English is spoken.

Read moreI stayed here multiple times in the past years. This recent time was a let down. Staff don’t have a great attitude at the desk. Kitchen in apartment is dirty and doesn’t have a microwave. Strange water leak sounds in the walls and random times in the bedroom. The lighting in the bedroom is terrible because it’s either bright white light or darkness. For the price for an apartment style it’s overrated. If you stay past check out time past 1 minute they will charge you the entire hourly rate as opposed to half. I overstayed 12 minutes and was charged an hour.
I’ve stayed and many hotels and they are usually fair and charge a small fee but this hotel doesn’t respect its customers and is happy to what I consider taking advantage of the customers.
I will never stay here again because I don’t appreciate being disrespected, and I don’t recommend it to anyone who values peace, rest, and cleanliness. I don’t recommend it to anyone who wants to stay like there at a...
