Where do I start. My partner and I stayed 2 nights here to our disappointment 😞. we read the reviews before booking and it seems like a nice place, but when we arrived and was allocated a room we where soon shocked to see that the room was not cleaned spill marks on the floors that looks like they have not been mopped in years, bed sheets where dirty and the bed was harder then a bag of rocks. We thought ok it's not the best but let's see how it goes, but ecolodge did not disappoint we headed out to the restaurant and ordered food I have had alot of food over here and this would have to be one of the worst place's I have eaten there was no flavour in the food and the food and had a funny taste that was not normal, but look it was food and we where hungry and because there is nothing around we ate it regardless. So we headed back to the villa and thought we would have a nice hot shower thinking maybe it's late we could just be having one of them days. So we stated the shower and it was beautiful for about 30sec before we ran out of hot water and had to wait 30min to get another 30sec of hot water. That was it we had enough for the night and went to our rock bed for some sleep. Next day we got up to have a Buffet breakfast as thats what we paid for and when we got to the restaurant they told us no buffer breakfast 😒 so we had to order off a set menu, breakfast was ok not bad food. So latter that day we decided to enjoy the private pool as it was very hot the pool is amazing and most probably the best part but that was soon ruined when your trying to relax and all the locals from off the street are allowed to come in with there kids and use the pool so basically it's a public pool not private as advertised. We soon left the pool and went for a rest on the rock bed. We went to the restaurant again that night I would have loved to go somewhere else but there is really no where else to go, so we ordered dinner it was surprisingly better and we could actually enjoy a nice quiet meal and relax but that was short lived as the same locals that where at the pool where having a celebration kids running around everywhere banging drums and making more noise then a construction sight. We finally checked out the next day. So if you book here go in...

They provide daily shuttle van service to town at 6pm and depart town (SHARP) at 930pm (you can always cab back if you missed the VERY PUNCTUAL shuttle service, which I very much like). No TV but they have good wifi so your kids (or you) won't be bored to death. Beautiful view of the river in the morning behind the property, and it will take you to the Imperial City if you book two hours in advance. Breakfast service is amazing (best fried instant noodles I had in a buffet spread) with a variety of carb laden but very tasty local rice dumplings and the usual pho, eggs, bread, bacon etc. They make very good yoghurt (and I HATE yoghurt) which is not tart at all and you can mix it with freshly cut dragon fruit, passion fruit, mango and insanely sweet watermelon. There were some mozzie the first night so I had to use the mozzie netting which made me feel like a princess but the next night I was not bitten, sans netting, yet still feel like a royalty in my imperial abode. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They directed me to a nearby provision shop to buy beer and local cigarette which cost a total of USD1.20. I visited late December and the twin room cost less than USD50. Gasp. PS. It's common practice for merchants to charged a 2.5% processing fee if you opt to pay by...

Of the hotels I stayed at during my trip to Vietnam in 2024, Hue Ecolodge was by far my favorite. It is situated along the Perfume River and there is charm to it that the other cookie cutter hotels lacked.
Hue Ecolodge’s design reflects the regions heritage, dark hard wood furniture and doors. The gardens are lush with vegetation, with locally grown tropical fruits (Vietnamese fig, bananas, jackfruit, just to name a few and a plethora of beautiful flowers). Vegetables and fruits grown in the garden are utilized in the dining options of deliciously prepared salads and other dishes regionally known o Hue.
The welcome flowers in each room are plucked from within the hotel’s grounds, managed by a husband and wife gardening duo. They keep the plants thriving, maintaining, and continuing to find ways to improve the grounds. All of the staff are all so sweet, helpful, and attentive.
The one small downside to being at Hue Ecolodge is its location. Being in the outskirts of town, the walking score is low. The only way to get to the city center is to order a taxi with assistance from the front desk. But this is a minor downside as you can borrow a bicycle from the hotel and leisurely ride bike around.
Overall, if you like nature, a serene and quiet hotel, Hue...
