stayed 5 nights.
the good stuff: Pilgrimage is gorgeous and beautifully designed would return for the atmosphere alone welcome tea and desserts warm greetings complimentary items like massages, afternoon cocktails, breakfast, yoga, bath salts, and the entire mini bar very generous with water great value the staff is very kind and well intended. Claudia was particularly helpful and kind.
issues: lack of communication/setting expectations the sauna/jacuzzi/steam room situation (which has to be scheduled, and is also a surprise paid service.)
details of issues: didn’t tell us breakfast was complimentary until after we skipped breakfast and ate somewhere else didn’t clean our room when they said they would asked for tea with soy milk and they told me they only offer soy milk at breakfast they didn’t tell us the sauna is not complimentary until we asked to use it my mom burned herself on the metal bucket in the steam room which they didn’t inform us about and was not possible to see with the steam for my second complimentary massage, I asked for the deep tissue which they then informed me isn’t one of the complimentary massages, which was not clearly communicated. they said they would accommodate it, but it was strange they even bothered mentioning it wasn’t complimentary at that point the next time I tried to use the sauna it was not available til later in the day, and when I went at my booking time, they told me it wasn’t available and to go back to my room and they’d call me when it was ready, but they never called once I got to the steam/sauna, it had no fresh towels and the steam room was not turned on and littered with towels would prefer to use sauna/steam/jacuzzi anytime (before or after gym, after a dip in the pool) rather than a scheduled hour of the day that isn’t even honored large lizard crawling on the wall of my room hot food and coffee was never hot, but always luke warm steam, jacuzzi, and sauna were not hot enough neither of the treadmills would turn on when I used the gym there are no mats in the gym all women’s bathroom stalls in bar were out of order / clogged housekeeping accidentally took my sweatpants with the bedding and I spent over an hour searching for them pool table was not available due to internal team meeting. we were asked to wait one minute and waited ~30 mins before leaving no descriptions of massages in the rooms google has the incorrect address for “Pilgrimage Village Huế Boutique Resort & Spa” so our taxi brought us to the wrong place they told us the mini bar was free, but they left the sign up with all the pricing, which confused us. we had to clarify a few times that everything was complimentary inconsistent with restocking items in the bathroom like q tips and shower caps pool food/beverage service is slow no electrical outlets in the bathroom only one outlet by the bedside for the lamp, but they did bring me an extension chord when I asked AC is confusing and we woke up hot one night the mattress is really hard no throw blankets, only sheets/duvet no complimentary or discounted pick up or drop off from airport, even when staying 5 nights didn’t let us know taxi they booked us to airport only accepted cash, and we had to find an atm when we arrived at the airport, which was very stressful told me they cleaned 27 pieces of laundry when it was 26, which seemed petty not enough shuttles to town to even use them
all in all, it was a great experience. but there were some frustrating moments I definitely thought could have been improved around communication and access to the amenities, and I do think they could have done a better job at comping things to make up for...

Da Nang is a place where many tourists gather. The HUE is relatively quiet and has many historical sites. Should I compare Osaka and Kyoto? Da Nang is similar to Osaka, while HUE is similar to Kyoto in a quiet time.
This hotel is not new. It's a building that's built traditional style. I found this hotel while looking for a hotel that is good to relax in, not a noisy hotel with many customers. The first feeling is that I'm in Bali. The environment surrounded by many sculptures and small buildings and forests makes people comfortable. It turns out that Vietnam has been a Hindu nation for a long time. The feeling similar to Bali is accurate.
The room is quite spacious. The outlook is not frustrating either. The bathroom was spacious, too. Amenity is also a good product. Slippers are not disposable. Keep that in mind. The room has traces of time. However, there is no difficulty in using it. There is no elevator, but the number of floors is not high, so there is no difficulty in moving. Hotel staff provide luggage transfer services, so there is no big inconvenience without an elevator.
The meal was good. We also have fresh fruit juice. There are many kinds of fruits. Above all, there was a separate corner in charge of coffee, so I could drink various coffees. It's an attractive breakfast compared to the hotel price. Lunch and dinner also provide good food at reasonable prices. It's a good advantage for those who stay in a hotel all day. The restaurant was constructed in the pillar-laden traditional Vietnamese style, so I felt like I was eating in a historical place.
There are 3 swimming pools, but guests in regular rooms can use 2. A large pool is where adults specialize in swimming. Peanut swimming pools are a good place for children to play. Even in late October, the water was not that cold, so it was suitable for swimming.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly. I'm trying to help you with anything. Feedback on the request is also very fast. I think the kind and trained staff is the biggest advantage of this hotel. The location of the hotel is about 15 minutes away from downtown HUE. This can be a disadvantage, but it can be an advantage if you find a place to rest quietly. There are attractive places such as the tomb of the emperor and an art museum nearby, so it is good for traveling.
I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place without a high price. If you prefer a nature-friendly resort rather than a state-of-the-art hotel, this hotel would be a good choice. Personally, I remember HUE as a more elegant and wonderful place than Da Nang. I think I will choose this hotel even if I visit...
Read moreA Disappointing Experience
I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Pilgrimage Village Resort, and I must say, it was far from a pleasant stay. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a series of disappointments and lackluster service that tainted my entire experience.
First and foremost, the condition of the rooms was subpar. Despite the resort's claims of luxurious accommodations, the reality was far from it. The rooms were outdated, with worn-out furniture and an overall lack of maintenance. The bathrooms were in desperate need of renovation, with broken tiles and fixtures that detracted from any sense of comfort or relaxation.
The cleanliness of the resort left much to be desired. Upon entering my room, I noticed dusty surfaces and cobwebs in various corners. This lack of attention to detail extended to the common areas as well, with unkempt gardens and debris scattered around the property. It was evident that the resort lacked proper upkeep and cleanliness standards.
The dining experience at Pilgrimage Village Resort was equally disappointing. The limited selection of food options and mediocre quality left me feeling unsatisfied. The breakfast buffet was underwhelming, with unappetizing and tasteless dishes. Additionally, the service in the restaurant was slow and inattentive, further adding to the overall dissatisfaction.
Another major issue was the lack of responsiveness from the staff. Whether it was requests for assistance or simple inquiries, the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. I encountered several instances of miscommunication and delays in receiving basic services, which further compounded the frustration and disappointment.
Furthermore, the amenities promised by the resort were either unavailable or poorly maintained. The spa services, which were marketed as a highlight, fell short of expectations. The spa facilities and treatments were lackluster, and the equipment appeared dated and worn out. This further contributed to the overall lack of enjoyment during my stay.
In conclusion, my experience at Pilgrimage Village Resort was far from satisfactory. The outdated and poorly maintained rooms, lack of cleanliness, disappointing dining options, and unresponsive staff altogether created a negative and underwhelming experience. I would strongly advise against choosing this resort for a comfortable and enjoyable stay...
