A plain basic hotel, after a day of riding, this can be a good place to stay but there is a clear lack of housekeeping, the newer rooms are better situated facing a coconut cove, but the older storied building is poorly maintained, all you expect is a clean room, unfortunately their are geckos all over the room both inside and outside, big spiders inside the room, windows by the looks of it were never opened in a while, thus huge spider nets both on the windows, curtains as well as behind the at TV. TV remote does not work, fridge was kept off thus the rotten smell, opening the windows, doors is an invitation for all the geckos to come in, if a few have not already made base, no clear information about breakfast either, just very very basic accommodation. No matter how low the price, providing a clean room is just basic ethos of any accommodation.|Outdoors patio was unuseable, sitting area was worn out, very dirty & full of geckos again.|Next to the hanging bridge and traditional house so that’s the good part. But as mentioned in other reviews Kon Tum city is centrally located thus this is a couple of kilometers away from all the action, absolutely nothing to do around, if your not carrying your essentials you will have to back track to the general stores a few kilometers away, good if you have a bike, but if you dont your basically stuck, grab or other apps do not work as of now in this location, walking down to town is a good option, but if your someone scared of dogs look elsewhere, there are plenty of dogs althrough the town, and usually they are never vaccinated. No information is provided of any guides or tours of the local attractions. Although they have pamplets, but they dont want to show for some reason.|I could have easily stayed another night if a clean room with a open view was provided.||Positives.|- staff especially the lady manager was very helpful. Super kind and even offered to not charge for a double booking i had mistakenly made.|- Away from all the hustle and bustle, away from loud karaokes and bars.|- Covered and clean parking area.||Not good.|- Housekeeping, there are homestays which have better cleaning and hygiene.|- Location (well they cant do anything about it, atleast till the time the town grows) but they can atleast provide with information or a paid guide or paid service for someone to fetch things, after hundreds of kilometers of travel, you have to get back on bike to go for yourself to get basic items.|- Geckos, insects, ok that’s nature, but you dont want it in that quantity and all over the place.||Overall it’s works for group stays or solo travellers, backpackers on a very basic budget, looking for a night rest. Otherwise this...
Read moreRead moreWe - a couple 60+ and travelling the whole year around the globe - stayed for 2 nights in „Konklor Hotel“. We love visiting places out of the tourist mainstream, therefore we love and know how locations are a little bit out of tourist areas. But this place is definitely overrated in TripAdvisor:|. The reception understands hardly English|. The manager seems to be not interested in her business (the mobile phone is the main attraction)|. First we got a (3 bed)room with only one window: very dark and when you shower the toilet will be showered as well...|. Then we got in the newer part a quite good room apart from the smoky smell of the earlier guests and 2 small & thin towels and too small bed linen|. BUT the absolut worst is the kitchen: for dinner we had chicken mostly with bones & fat, vegetable bad smell - almost not eatable! For breakfast the same: after a waiting time of 15 minutes we got a glass of a kind of orange juice and a bowl of porridge. If you‘d like a coffee: extra charge!|- Conclusion: I don‘t recommend this...
Ŵe had had an exhausting day travelling to Kon Tum but the guys on the bus had asked us where we were staying and they actually took us directly to the hotel. We were directed to a large modern room with two king size beds. Adjoining was a large wet room which also housed the toilet and wash handbasin.||The following morning whilst having breakfast the owner, Lieu, came to our table and introduced herself. She asked what our plans were and said that she had a little time to spare and would be happy to show us round the village and the special bridge which had been erected there. Lieu was also kind enough to take us in her car to see the local wooden Church. Lieu's sisters were on duty at reception and they were kind enough to organise the Hire of a motor bike and also to recommend a restaurant in Kon Tum. They were also helpful in arranging for a driver to take us to Plieku Airport the...
