Due to the unfortunate series of events (I had a motorcycle accident, injured my knee and then the wound got infected), me and my boyfriend stayed in Kon Tum for a whole week, instead of 1 day how we originally planned. During that time, Kontum Home Sweet Homestay has become our 2nd home, and Duong and his mother and sweet dog Lucy our 2nd family. Duong was very attentive to my needs, helping me find a doctor, and while I was recovering he helped my boyfriend with organising trips to the nearby local village and national park. We ate breakfast and dinner there every day, and it was delicious every time, with enormous amounts of food that we never managed to finish. Our motorbikes were locked in a garage during the night so we could sleep easy minded knowing that no one could steal them. She then increased the price from 70,000 VND to 100,000 VND. When I inquired why the booking system showed a different price and what would happen if someone booked the room through the system for that date, she replied that she would charge an additional fee upon arrival. This experience has been frustrating and unprofessional I would not recommend this homestay based on...
Read moreSuper cool place to stay with blazzingly fast wifi, tasty breakfast and amazing lipton tea with tons of fruits (I drank it first and then ate it later). The dorm is comfy and spacious with a place to sit and do the morning e-mail check on your laptop. The English speaking owner gave me some tips about my motorbike travel to Laos and he is happy to help in journey planning.
There's a garage for your bike so don't be worry about the rain during monsoon season.
The common space is comfy and informal, isolated from the noise on the road. Feel free to grab a chair or beans bag and enjoy the stars at night or get some sunbath during the day.
Walk-ins are welcome but check the availability during high...
