Very rude host. We were on the top floor and it's a wooden floor, and he kept telling us to "walk gently", but it's not possible to not have noise when walking on that floor. We booked a private room and got a room inside a dorm with just a wooden door as seperation- so you can hear everything around you. We took it because he said we would have the whole floor for ourselves, but the next morning got upset that we put stuff outside of the room. Anything we asked for he wanted extra money for. Also very overpriced rooms and dinner- 1 million dong for a hot pot per person!!! Very little facilities- The rooms were very hot and there was not even a fan. The toilets are outside. There are no hot water. We wanted to make ourself food in the morning and asked to use the kitchen (we had everything just needed gas), he said 100,000 for every 30 minutes , worst place we've ever been to. Wish i could rank lower then 1 star,...

Had an absolutely lovely stay at this beautiful place.

The family was incredible friendly and welcoming, plus the host-mother even prepared a nice meal for me (got there spontanously) while everyone had hotpot that seemed booked in advance. As i was the only foreign guest speaking english & german, they cared a lot about me having a good time and integrating me with the locals . I drank a lot of the house's ricewine with the other guests and we had nice talks in basic english (sometimes with a translator if needed, the host-mother does even speak some english herself) and the next day, the host father drew a nice portrait of me.

L’host, che non era il proprietario, dopo cena, momento in cui non potevamo più cambiare ostello, ci ha chiesto di pagare un permesso speciale per la zona di confine, addirittura minacciandoci di chiamare la polizia. Noi abbiamo cercato su diversi siti davanti a lui e gli abbiamo detto che non era corretto richiedere questo pagamento a notte inoltrata soprattutto perché, non avendo avuto la possibilità di prelevare, eravamo senza contanti e quindi anche avessimo voluto non avremo potuto pagare. Durante la discussione l’host era in continua comunicazione con un altro uomo al telefono, ma non sappiamo chi fosse. Ci siamo rifiutati di pagare chiedendo perché ce lo chiedesse proprio in quel momento e accettando che chiamasse la polizia. A quel punto ha capito che non avremmo mollato e ci ha detto che avremmo pagato questa specie di permesso direttamente ad Ha giant, cosa che non è avvenuta. Attenzione alle richieste degli host! In un blog qualcuno ha menzionato questo permesso ma in nessun’altra città o paese ci è stato chiesto, nonostante fossimo fermati dalla polizia ad ogni tappa!
