The AC was very dirty. I opened it and cleaned the filters. The attached picture shows how dirty they were before I cleaned them. The fan, too, had dust (see the attached picture). Toilet paper wasn't provided, I had to buy my own. I only sat on the chair once: as soon as I did, I felt that it was fidgeting below me, and could break anytime. There is no socket near the bed. It was very inconvenient to use the laptop. And I couldn't use it on the table sitting on the chair because, as I have just l said, the chair was half-broken. On my last full day, I stepped out in the morning and left my laptop to charge. When I came back, I immediately noticed that the staff had cut the power supply to my room. How courteous of you! I wished my laptop could fully charge so that I could use it for a few hours sitting in bed (because, as I said above, there is no socket near the bed). The toilet flush was tight, it barely worked. I had to open the lid of the toilet cistern and press it manually every time. I can't say I had the best sleep here. A dog in the neighborhood sometimes barks at night. And when it's not the dog, it's the noise from the neighbour's AC compressor. On the first night, I was also woken up at 2.30 a.m. by someone's music. Cigarette smoke also sometimes comes in, because there is an opening in the wall between my bathroom and the hallway. The sink was sitting on its wastewater pipe, meaning that the water first flowed onto the floor, then into the drain. It wasn't a big inconvenience, but it looked cheap. Not something I would expect in a room priced 250k VND. The Wi-Fi network was there in the room, but it didn't work (see the screenshot attached). Since Wi-Fi didn't work, I went downstairs to sit with my phone at reception, where they have a different Wi-Fi network (which worked). As I was sitting there, I witnessed the owner of the hotel successfully persuade another foreigner to cancel his Booking.com booking and transact with the hotel directly, in cash. So, I can confirm what other reviewers have reported about her as well. I have also alerted Booking.com about this. Personally, I came without a booking. I don't know why I wasn't given the choice of a 220k room and was given a 250k room without any explanation. But if you ask me, the experience I had isn't worth 250k. I have stayed in similar "nhà nghỉ" / "nhà trọ" in Vietnam for 180-200k. I don't see why such a poorly maintained room costs 250k. Despite lacking basic amenities and maintainance (no toilet paper, a dirty AC and a half-broken chair), this hotel strives to make even more money by offering cooked meals and drinks. When I was checking in and talking about the room, the owner suddenly asked me if I wanted to rent a motorbike. Apparently, it makes them a lot of money and makes them forget/neglect their basic service (i.e. accommodation). The owner asked me to keep my passport throughout my stay at her hotel. I obviously refused. What did she intend to do with my passport? And why would she need to keep it? And how would I go to buy a SIM card and to the bank without the passport? The next day, she also suggested I leave the key at reception every time I step out. What for? I have already been a victim of theft in Vietnam by a hotel that also asked to have the key every time I stepped out. I also declined, and, luckily,...
