Li Lai International Hotel — Hotel in Móng Cái City

This is an "old world" style full service and well maintained hotel. Very large entrance with a large water fountain (currently not operating), large lobby with live piano, lots of bellboys, etc. There is a casino attached to the hotel which seems popular. ||||While I was there a lot of golfers were moving through the hotel, of course a lot of businessmen as well. This seems to be the hotel to use if you want to do impress people? ||||The rooms were clean and well done. They did a turn-down service, there were other small details which suggested the management was pursuing a full service experience for guests. Similar in style/approach to the Avani in Haiphong.||||We had a bad experience at another hotel (see earlier review) where the receptionist would not let me check in because I was with a business associate (who was not staying at the hotel), the other hotel insisted I must book an additional room for them. The Li Lai had no problems.||||Breakfast was not as impressive as the rest of the hotel. It's basic Chinese style fare, nothing special at all.
