We stayed here for just one night. They didn't have knowledge of our booking (made through booking.com) so it wasn't a great start. |Despite not having a window our room looked reasonably new, had a decent shower and appeared clean; Except however the bed, which was pretty hard, was covered in specs of dirt and had hairs on. It appeared to is though it hadn't been washed since it's previous usage. |Later in the day I found a very large cockroach clinging to my lonely planet guide which I managed to squash (not sure how it got in, but probably not the hotels fault, just saying the facts) |The young guy on reception didn't speak a word of English so had to use a translator App on his phone when we asked for a map (which they couldn't provide) and for our passports back. |The location is poor - it's at least a 25min walk to the town centre, and the eateries near by are very local, and don't have English menus. |The aircon didn't work very well, but there was a wall mounted fan. |We didn't have a good night sleep, partly due to the bed but also because there were loads of big kids running around the hotel screaming and banging doors. My girlfriend twice got up to ask them to keep the noise down but to no avail. I ended up banging on their door at 1am and that seemed to work. I understand that this issue was out of the hotels control, but it still made an impact on our stay. |We would have told the hotel of our negative experience before reviewing them, but we weren't asked, and no one that was present spoke any English! |Would not...

Tai Phat hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the centre. A two minute walk to Bui Vien street, for cheap food/drinks on the street. Clubs are around as well, but way more expensive. Rooms are fine, toilet and shower in your own room and air condition + fan in the room. Personnel is really friendly, not everyone speaks fluently English though. Hành lan để nhiều đồ lau dọn nên khá hôi. Giường và chăn niệm cũng hôi. Không có máy nước nóng trong phòng tắm. Vòi sen tắm bị hư không lắp lại. Khá tệ trong tầm giá 240k/ đêm. Sẽ không đến nơi này nữa khi có dịp...
