Unfortunately, we spent only one night in this place. We arrived late in the afternoon without a reservation and managed to get a lower price because we would only spend the night and leave early in the morning. Very nice people serving this place. The lady who welcomed us did not speak English, but she communicated with us without any problems through a translator. We saw some negative reviews about the food, but we simply asked the lady about the options and she showed us a two-sided menu. We ordered dinner for 80,000 dong per person. We got a lot of delicious food that we couldn't even finish. Private while he only had a bed with a mosquito net and a small cupboard. The area was beautiful, although the weather was bad so we didn't have a chance to take advantage of it. I recommend it to anyone who loves dogs (there are probably six of them there), would like to relax and have a great place to go...
Read moreWe had a similar experience to other reviewers - we messaged the property directly to make a booking and agreed on the price. After arriving they told us they had forgotten about our booking and tried to charge us more than double for a different room. After almost an hour of back and forth arguing they eventually did give us our original room, which wasn’t that nice and isn’t completely private (the wall divide doesn’t completely separate from the dorm space). As others have also said, the food is expensive and nothing is included in the price. Location is lovely though, and there aren’t many other options around, but the complications definitely soured our...
Read moreI enjoyed my stay very much. I was looking for a quiet place and the eco lodge was a perfect mix between having time for myself at the lake and interacting with the travellers that stay just for one night. I also went by boat to one of the tea plantation islands (200.000 to 150.000 depending on the number of people going). You can also go go swimming in the lake.
The owner and his family are very nice. There is a language barrier for sure, but with Google translator and an open mind you can figure it out. But if you are scared of being scammed, just always ask how much it is and pay your drinks and food right away. As I said, the owner and his family really care about you and you having a nice stay. He even helped me to get from Vinh to the lodge and back by a local bus. Thank you for the...
