You can't miss this place in Con Cuong. Really the only hotel in town. But very pleasant and reasonable priced hotel. Clean, central, and looks like a mansion in the middle of town. There is a nice supermarket close to the hotel also. ||||Two other things you should note in this town. The first is that there is a very helpful woman on the main road who runs a tourist and travel service. You can find her very close to the hotel. Her business is called: VSC Travel & Service Co. Ltd She speaks excellent english, and can help you with many things associated with Con Cuong. She is very close to the hotel, and was very helpful to us as tourists in the town. She even helped us one morning to be able to get a bus to the border of Laos. Very helpful woman. You can also find her at: vscom2016@gmail.com If you need any help, this is the woman to contact in Con Cuong.||The second piece of information is this: If you want to rent a motorbike in Con Cuong, please be very careful of the business the Muong Thanh hotel recommends. This business is just down the street from the Tourist service above, that I recommend. This family was very shady in their dealings with us, as tourists. They overcharged for their bikes, and when there was something wrong with the seat of the bike, (that wasn't our fault) they charged extra money for something, and blamed us. They also charged extra for gasoline at the end, even though they quoted us one price at the beginning of the day. I do not recommend renting a motorbike from these people under any circumstances. They were very unprofessional and seemed very greedy in the way they dealt with us as customers. Remember, they are who the hotel recommended for a motorbike just down the street from the VSC Travel & Service Co. LTD. So please stay clear of them. ||Lastly, please look up the Lady at the travel service. She was very helpful, and you will be glad you contacted...

Very nice hotel almong the road from Vietnam to Laos. I got 10th floor room with amazing view full height floor to ceiling window.

Room and hotel are both good internation standard with asian characteristics (large window into bathroom).

Is seams to be mainly catering to bus tours crossing the border, which is a reason why standard is solid regardless somehow remote location far from significant attractions.

If you are on the way from Laos to Vietnam this is best option in the area.

I however have visited this region to see Bamboo Water Wheels and to my despair all guesthouses were closed. Actually there is very few options within 1h radius on Google maps. There are few but k don't think open. I went to few and all were closed.

This hotel is quite a life savior to be honest. Very solid, elegant, clean, nice restaurant, proper breakfast and super friendly staff.

Opposite is a quite large supermarket (considering we are in small town it is really big).

Right next to the hotel there is an interesting suspension bridge spanig across the river to a small UNESCO heritage recognized village. Village doesn't look like anything special - I guess the recognition is culturally based on the local ethics group. I noticed ladies in the village wearing unusually hats.

There is waterfall 30min drive south into the mliuntias. There is also some reservoir with boats similar distance also into the mountitjust slightly different direction.

Overally I'm very happy...

The only fair and good hotel option in the area. I always stay in Muong Thanh every time I go for a motorbike trip, and this one, 4km from Pu Mat national park is the only option to stay in.

The rooms are moderate clean, Air condition seems weak but does the job .

The swimming pool wasn’t that clean as locals and kids jump in with all their clothes on and I saw adults spit in , which makes it dirty and not hygiene. Hotel should have better policy for the swimming pool .

The hotel staff are nice and helpful though.

Massage: was an absolute joke, they took us to a room for massage and left us there for 15 min, a girl show up and she started laughing for whatever reason. Then she pretend like she’s a masseuse, the she offered sex, I refused and then I let her leave the room. I complain and the hotel apologized and refund 400k for 2 people we paid in advance.

Anyway, it’s the only option in this sleepy town,...
