What can I say? It was such an amazing and comforting experience. I went there right after arriving in Hanoi, and the family received me with open arms into their home.
The homestay is located in a quiet area near Ninh Binh city. I had a private bedroom with a brand-new shared bathroom in the hallway. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen, living room, and patio are on the ground floor. We had dinner together every night, a delicious variety of dishes to eat with rice. I also had other meals there, which were just as tasty. After two weeks of traveling, this is still the best food I’ve had so far.
The bedrooms are on the first floor, and then there’s an amazing rooftop terrace with hammocks and great views on the second floor. I spent so much time relaxing there… it felt like a dream. You can enjoy both sunrise and sunset, surrounded by the everyday sounds of local life.
Don’t hesitate to come here if what you’re looking for is a truly immersive experience in a Vietnamese home. This is not a hostel or a resort, don’t expect that. It’s something much more special.
I hope I can pass by again before the end of this trip. Thank you so much for everything. I couldn’t have asked for a better welcome to this...
Read moreWe had the best time staying here, such a kind and welcoming family! Their home is so lovely and our room was spacious with a bathroom and balcony. Kua was so helpful, we learnt lots about Vietnamese culture and ate dinner with them both nights, which was delicious!!! We were also able to hire bicycles to cycle around the area (which has stunning scenery), and the next day we paid for them to take us on a tour to see Trang An and Bai Dinh Pagoda. The breakfast was also delicious! Overall we had an amazing stay here, I would highly recommend, it is outside of the centre of Ninh Binh but the village is so lovely it’s nice to have a few quiet days away from more touristy areas. It truly is an ‘Immersive Homestay’ we hope to come back and visit...
Read moreThis cozy homestay was one of the highlights of our trip! It’s in a quiet village surrounded by rice fields and limestone mountains, super peaceful and authentic. The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was honestly some of the best we had in Vietnam. A special highlight was the tofu-making workshop, such a fun and unique experience! We got to make fresh tofu from scratch and eat it right after. So delicious! If you’re looking to get off the beaten path and experience real rural life in Ninh Binh, this is the place. We wish we...
