We 4 arrived at 8p.m after a 10 hour bike ride. We were extremely tired but the staff's friendliness relieved all of our stress. There were these 2 particular receptionists who greeted us at night that were really patient with all of our questions about bus, city travelling, cabs, etc for almost over an hour. ||||After checking in, we went to check out our tents (btw we booked tents from them for camping, not rooms and we suggest you do the same too). The tents can be located anywhere as long as it's sheltered but we wanted them to be nearer to the sea which would be no shelters then. However, despite the strictness of the manager, one of the receptionists tried to make that happen for us. She was trying really hard to convince her manager for us to move our tents nearer to the sea. In the end, we felt bad and decided to just move a bit further away from the beach where it was sheltered but we could still captured the whole view of the beach. We all really appreciated her efforts for trying to give us a comfortable stay according to what we want.||||The best thing when camping at Hon Rom 1 is that it's right next to the beach and it's very clean. We slept like babies and woke up with the view of the ocean and the sound of waves. That's one of the best experiences for us. ||||They only provided tents with mattresses. So we brought our small pillows with thin blankets. The tents were clean, the mattresses were nice and not at all smelly. The surrounding areas were clean too.||||The only issue I would have is the toilet. Since we were camping, we would be using the public toilet at the camping area of course. If I have to say how tolerable I was with their toilet from 1 to 10, I would score it 4 or 5. It was smelly and because we went during our weekends so there were lots of people as well (not a lot of people camp though which was a good thing coz we got a lot of space for us). However, one more point for the resort for being so honest when I booked the tents via phone. They did warn us that it might be crowded over the weekends so their helpers may not be able to clean it so often as the area is big so the toilet cleanliness may be uncertain. Instead of telling us that everything is perfect, they warned us right away when we had doubts. ||||Also, there will be Vietnamese music playing until 11pm and it will start again at 7 or 8. We didn't mind at all because it was such a local experience. ||||After checking in for our tents on our first night, we decided to go out to the center of Mũi Né after that so we asked one of staff to get us a cab. At that period of time, the receptionists already changed shifts so we had to ask from one that had a bit of attitude. She refused to get us a cab simply because the resort didn't sign any contract with a cab company. She said she could give us the number and we go ahead and call ourselves. At that point, our phones were all off or out of credits. She had to wait for a while for us to turn our phone back on so she decided to call for us. But before leaving the counter, she had to end our convo with:" I have other things to do." What a way to treat your customers!||||However, the overall experience was pleasant and it was so worth it (VND100.000 per person per night). The check out in the morning was quick. Again, the morning staffs were very friendly and helpful too. They printed a map for us to get around. Everything else were...
Read moreI don't even know where to start with this place. My wife and I booked this place in the middle of a backpacking trip as a treat for ourselves thinking it's a resort. I'll try to sum it up.||You should stay at this place if you want to be woken up every morning by room service yelling in the hall in the morning. One morning I went out to see what they were doing and they were all huddled in a room watching TV and one was yelling out to the lady in the hall from a couch rather than walking to her and giving her instructions quietly.||The rooms had dirty linen and smelled like a stale bathroom(picture proof). There was no wifi in the rooms and the connection was super weak anywhere else. The beach view room is blocked by trees so no view of the beach (proof in pictures).||The restaurant has the worst food. It's like they are trying to cook American food without ever even speaking to anyone who knows how to do it. Why not just concentrate on Vietnamese food, that's why people are there. We had dinner there once, stopped halfway, paid and went somewhere else. The funniest thing about the restaurant, which I've added picture proof, is that the tables had a wooden bar that blocked your knees from pulling under the table so I had to eat either leaned over or sideways. I'm only 175 cm so I'm not some giant ogre.||There is a nice pool there which was refreshing in the heat but everything to do with the pool was a wreck. The pool bar was closed and they had placed two mannequins behind the bar for decor, but it looked like a scene out of a horror movie. There was a smaller bar further away near the beach entrance but it was poorly lit, smelled like fish and had the saddest menu of beverages. Just beer, soda, and milk smoothies. ||The location is also really far from the main strip. ||It doesn't help that this place tries to make itself look like a real resort in all its pictures on booking sites. Things like beach chairs on the beach, which didn't exist, or beverage service poolside,...
Read moreDon’t stay here. There are many other options when coming to Mui Ne beach. Choose elsewhere. Wow our first impression was the unfriendly reception staff, specifically Thu Le. We booked through Agoda and got a room with a pool/ocean view. When we arrived we were told our room would not have the pool view and we would have to pay more. We booked this hotel specifically for the ocean view. So we were disappointed travellers. Reception staff didn’t help. no smiles, no fun as there are so many rules. They must have a poor employer who allows them to be so miserable. We worked out with Agoda to pay the up-charge for ocean view. However, the check in process was long as they needed to see everything including passport and visa for us all, and no smiles while working through. Rooms are in need of upgrade, beds are hard. No smart tvs. Housekeeping comes knocking on the door at 8 am! 50k to rent a pool float for the kids. The stack of floaties is depressing. Most have leaks. To buy a ball or other toys again is more money. Smells like sewage is leaking from resort into the sea. Not relaxing with the smell of sewage. Lots of garbage along the beach. Pool is open 7-7 so no evening swims even though it’s all lit up. Lifeguard stares at you the whole time. No smiling only telling you what you can’t do the whole time. The pool left our hair crunchy. Even after washing it with good quality shampoo the children’s hair was still crispy. So many rules. Construction going on the whole time. Noisy saws and welding. Nowhere to sit or lounge by pool to watch your kids swim, the beach chairs face the ocean and can’t be moved up to pool area to enjoy while watching your kids play. Saw a rat running around by the kitchen. Or course cockroaches at night. Thu le is so unfriendly. Very strange she has a job in customer service as she is not good with people. It takes a lot to make her smile. Choose elsewhere for your stay when coming to Mui Ne. We ended up leaving early. Found better...
