The resort is huge, we stayed here for Tet - VN lunar new year (3 nights). It claims a 4 or 5 stars resort but the service they provide is not worth the money we'd paid.
Several reasons and reality experiences to consider if Muine Bay is one of the options for your next trip.
Location: Only recommended for families who have a car or you can rent bikes (100k across the street) since nothing around. It takes around 20km to the central area, local supermarkets like Lotte mark, Coop mark... I would recommend the area around Sai gon Mui Ne , Victoria phan thiet resort, etc ... It is packed w various restaurants from local foods to western foods, with minimart, and more activities around there (around 5 -10km from Mui ne Bay).
The front beach at Muine Bay resort is dangerous for swimming. In being able to swim, we need to walk a bit to another area Just a bit, but elder people or someone who is not able to walk for so long might be an issue. Noted that only the Bungalow area few steps away from the beach, other than that, walk walk, there are 2 electric cars but only saw it for luggage delivery.
Facilities: personally, I think Wifi is slow to do simple work tasks, or wifi calls, be prepared for a mobile data plan in case u need it. No iron, no gym.
Others: morning breakfast buffet foods and utensils like spoons, plates, cups, glasses, etc taking a long time to refill, foods not diverse. Be early for the buffet, they seem to not refill foods for the last 30mins. Plus, not sure what milk they serving us but at least 3 of us got diarrhea. In fact, the areas serving the morning buffet are big enough that they have 2 areas serving food. In fact, during the buffet, I saw some beverage like juices that was a leftover from area 1 being transferred to area 2 which does not make sense to me as many other guests still having their breakfast.
Thought/ experiences regarding : Makeup room: except 1st-day check-in date, for the next following days, they only provide hotel amenities and clean your room if u request by calling, no cleaning even the sign 'please, makeup room' was hung.
The resort's hotel manager treats us (unknown guests) compared to someone he is familiar with. He does not pay attention, has no eye contact, just nogged then asked the staff again whatever we just told him. This makes us a bit offended. Not apply to foreign guests lol. Other than that, the staffs are super nice and willing to help if u reach out, but I would recommend they are more active since they work for the service industry and 4 or 5 stars standard rate.
I will never come back or recommend it to anyone. Hope this could help you to choose the hotel for your next...
Read moreVinpearl Nha trang resort had been my first choice for my 2025 vacation in Vietnam. I, however, changed my mind because I wanted to try something new. We decided to stay at Muine Bay Resort and we were glad we had made a right decision. We spent three nights there from 3/12/2025 to 3/15/2025. Now let’s get straight to the point. Location: 9. Nice and quiet. The beach was clean and not far from my room. I could make my routine jog every morning before sunrise. However, it’ll be a little inconvenience if you want to explore downtown Phan thiet from this resort. Unlike Vinpear Nha trang resort where you can expect to see to and fro speed boats every 30 minutes, there are only two free shuttle tours at Muine bay that take you to downtown Phan thiet. One departs at 11:30 and the other at 14:05. On your way back to the resort you can take either 15:15 or 21:00 shuttles. That’s it. I , however, did not plan to go out so that was ok with me. Cleanliness: 9. Above average. My room actually smelled pretty good. Hotel linen was clean and fresh. Looked like the staff changed it every day. Utilities: 8. In general it was fine. However, the way the bathtub was designed confused me a litte bit. The bathroom almost got flooded after my first shower. Water from the shower ran down the wall and found its way to the floor. Later I found out that if I turned my back against the curtain while showering then I could avoid that nuissance. The gym was decent. Food: breakfast buffet was excellent. 10. In my humble opinion, it even surpassed its counterpart at Vinpearl. Dinner food was fine. 8. Since we decided to stay at the resort, we went to its restaurant (the Champa restaurant) and made a la carte orders. Food was pricey but we already expected that. Staff: 10+. Exceptional. It was kind of silly of me if I kept comparing this resort which is 4 star with Vinpearl which is 5. But to me Vinpearl staff and Muine Bay staff are among the best. I was impressed by how nice and professional Muine Bay resort staff was. If I have to pick a name then ms Dieu Thy would come first. This nice young lady helped us with our dinner orders. One night we ordered bbq pork and pork stew. The pork was a little too tough and kind of tasteless. We told Dieu Thy about that when she came over asking how we liked our food. To our surprise, she took both dishes to the kitchen after profusely apologizing to us. She offered a refund even though we did not request that. Thank you, Dieu Thy, for taking good care of your customers. So, overall I gave Muine Bay resort a solid 9. If you ask me if I’d like to come back to Muine Bay again in the future, the answer is YES! Highly...
Read moreWe had a wonderful 16-night stay at Muine Bay Resort and would happily recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway in a quiet, less touristy area.||The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with decent amenities—not overly luxurious, but certainly comfortable. The resort is set in a tranquil area, which really adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Despite 80% of the guests being local Vietnamese (as we were told it’s low season), it in no way affected our experience—in fact, it was refreshing!||From the moment we arrived (late at night), check-in was smooth and efficient. A special shoutout to Khoi at reception, who is truly the gemstone of the resort. By the next day, he was already checking in to see if everything was okay and offered assistance with anything that could enhance our stay. Throughout the trip, he helped us get taxis, recommended places to visit, and was always full of helpful advice—with a smile that reflects genuine kindness. Khoi is your guy!||The staff overall were incredibly friendly and eager to help. From reception to the restaurant, everyone seemed genuinely committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible. Our thanks go out to Quyên, Thi, Hoâ, Trung, Contg, Thanh, Sâo, Linh, Thahn, and so many others ( chef s as well) whose names we didn’t catch but who made us feel at home. Most staff speak English, and with a bit of Google Translate here and there, everything went smoothly. A few, including Khoi, also speak German, which was a nice surprise!||Food-wise, breakfast initially caught us off guard—we thought it was a dinner buffet! While it may not meet a traditional Continental European standard, there’s a great variety once you adjust your expectations. Plenty of local fruits, vegetables, and Vietnamese dishes to explore. The Saturday seafood buffet was decent but not quite worth the price in our opinion—better to try their Seafood Market Restaurant for a more authentic and -friendly experience.||One thing to be aware of: the resort does host gala dinners and company parties, which means you can expect some loud music now and then. Thankfully, the staff gives you advance notice, and it never really disturbed us. That said, we did have two noisy nights due to the guests above us—lots of furniture dragging and running around—but the night manager addressed it promptly and...
