Wouldn't stay again

Booked this place for 7 days to relax by the beach with my family and parents.

We checked in late in the afternoon due to our flight being delayed, check in was rushed as the buggy driver was not interested in providing any directions on how to use the facilities,Like turning on the AC. He barely helped with the luggage.

Considering I paid more than $180 dollars a night, it Would have been nice for the host to have the ac turned on prior to our arrival. Instead we arrived to a hot stuffy villa.

Service was slow and there are no convenient stores within walking distance. Our villa was situated quite far from the front entrance and cars can not enter the resort, you would need to wait for a buggy. Buggies take 10.min to arrive while you would be waiting in the scorching heat for your ride to Cary luggage in and out of the resort.

Management are slow and having family visit the villa was a hassle on busy days like Saturday and Sunday( parents who stayed with me went out during the day, came back late in the afternoon was denied access even tho we have stayed here for nearly a week)

We orderd food to be delivered to the villa, but Management did not allow the food to be taken to the villa, saying that they can not ensure the food safety. What a joke considering the host of the villa provided me the restaurant details.

Over all it was a very stressful stay for what was suppose to be a...

Luxury it is not, but Oceanami Resort is a good value accommodation along Long Hai beach. Caters mostly to the domestic, weekend group tour crowd from Ho Chi Minh City; from Tuesday to Friday we had this place almost to ourselves and it was eerily empty. A taxi ride away from sleepy Long Hai town and 30 minutes away from Vung Tau, you will likely feel stranded on the resort so be okay with staying in place before booking. Staff was attentive although English language levels varied. Good for kids and we saw several babies in addition to our's. Breakfast alright, lunch and dinner options tasty and everything very reasonably priced. Good massage at the spa, large pool suitable for lap swimming, modest fitness center. The beach itself wasn't great and no chairs for sitting on, perhaps because they would be washed away at high tide. If you go, definitely book the large Executive Suite (80 m2) over the tiny Deluxe room (23 m2), I'm glad we were able to switch at the property. Was strange that the room had absolutely no plates or utensils in the kitchen area, I understand they really want to discourage cooking in the rooms so you buy the resort food. Overall Oceanami was a good value for the price, but...

Poor Service!!! So terrible!!! I've make reservation for 1 villa 4 bedrooms before check-in date over a month. After that, sales man called me and informed me that they have a new rule, passenger cannot cooking, using kitchen in villa (????) or bring food into hotel. And I've asked her to cancel my booking. She is ok and ensure with me that she will send me an email confirmation about this rule, give me 2 options: cancel booking no fee or still stay there and receive a voucher 650,000 VND/villa. 3 days past, I've received nothing, I just reminded her again, and she continue to tell me the same "will send me email"... But 15 days after, when my check in will occur in next 3 days, I inform them that I will stay here to avoid any changes and want to have 2 more extra beds. We will go with 10 persons. One more time, They continue refusing help me, just only one extra beds can be adapted, another one should hire another room in another place in resort. I don't know what they are doing in their service, their business???? Very poor service and terrible operation. Cannot acceptable. I never never use their service again, and make sure that I'll also remind all my...

The beach club is clean, (not so organized), has pretty view. I love the fact that they use electric cars and bike for transportation. Eco-friendly. The Villa we stay at is Hawaii. Well, they have different names but have the same structure. So to speak, we “travel” from Con Dao to Maldives 😂 The pool is clean. Use them one after the beach. The beach is nice and clean. Much better than Phu Quoc island (cleanliness). The beach is spacious however mostly blocked…only a small area for swimming. Back to the villa, we would go grocery in the morning (Phuoc Hai seafood market). Seafood all day and bbq all night. You can rent the karaoke audio booth for 500vnd. Pretty cool. It could be loud at night as many guests love to sing. Luckily, we visit on Wed so 8 of us are the “lords” of our own island until Sat and Sun when groups of companies flood the place. The cooking wares in our villa ain’t equipped well. We bring some but have to buy majority of stuff in the market (spoons, chopsticks, tongs, etc.)

As a resort - my standard is high. This is a co-owned resort which means villas has different owners that purchased and lease out for people to stay. Management just facilitate daily activities. Every unit is different inside. It is not good to have co-owned resort. Problems: 1. As unit aged, management nor owner dont care to upkeep and provide the best service. 2. This place tried to copy modern design but fall short on many things. 3. Bathroom and shower/bath has no lock. 4. Toilet’ glass door in villas 14031 is broken, can not fully close. 5. The worst is room 1 at Villas 16003. Management and owner knew the room has sewage smell (the housekeeper told us they knew about the problem). Instead of close the room permanently, they list the unit as a five room villas. Overall, just okay place. Nothing too great to justify the cost and living away from a fun city like Vung Tau.

Nice resort but I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. It was pretty hard to navigate around in the beginning and they are alway overloaded with guests, so there were very little assistance from the staff, except the occasional room keeping ladies. The design of these villas are, in my opinion, atrocious and lack of any privacy since you can easily see into other villas from your living room and vice versa. They then divided the villas into separate rooms with their own number, making the whole thing more like a shared apartment/townhouse rather than a premium villa. Maybe I had been spoiled by the villas I enjoyed in Danang, but this was quite disappointing. Though it is still ok as a quick retreat from HCMC and the local beach is easily accessible, and that is probably the only 5 star worthy part of this resort.
