This place is simply incredible. Set amongst beautiful, lush green hills and farmlands, this farm-stay is by far the best place to stay in Phong Nha, away from all the noise and bustle of this very small town. Surprisingly, there are lots of things to do in Phong Nha, and I would recommend you stay at this farm-stay for a little longer to truly experience this magical place as well as get some well-deserved rest once you are done exploring all of the fantastic caves, hikes, waterfalls and whatnot. ||||The whole resort is truly beautiful, especially because of its location. They also grow their own vegetables, which I was so happy to learn they use in their on-site kitchen. They do not use pesticides so everything is fresh, healthy and organic. They also don't use any chemicals in their pool, and they change the water once every five days. And the beautiful flower field is perfect to take great pictures of the local farmers as well as with your friends or family.||||The food is affordable, tasty and plentiful. the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Not everyone here speaks English but you will be able to easily order your food from the detailed and extensive menu.||||The rooms are super-cool. Made in contemporary style in big shipping cargo containers, they are spacious and very comfortable. And you get fantastic views every morning when you wake up and when you go to sleep at night. It is very quiet and the beds are massive so you will have a great sleep, for sure!||||The resort also offers free shuttle service from and to town. Phong Nha town is only five minutes drive away by car or scooter (they can help you with renting one) or twenty minutes by bicycle (free to use for guests). You can even walk – it is about an hour by foot to town. The botanic garden is super close and from here it is easy to explore all of the attractions that Phong Nha has to offer. A beautiful reservoir is just a couple of minutes walk from the resort!||||There are so many great things about Phong Nha Eco Mountain Farmstay that I could write an essay about it. But, and trust me on this, you must stay here when you come to Phong Nha. And Phong Nha is a fantastic place to explore – still unspoilt and so beautiful.||||I would recommend this place to anyone, especially if you enjoy nature, peace, good sleep, food and...
Read moreThis was a fantastic stay if you want to be in the National Park. Every view was of mountains and natural rainforest, the gardens are planted with many tropical flowers bringing in a huge array of butterflies. The pool is the first one I have been able to really swim in and is fed by fresh mountain water (no chemicals are used). Within 2 mins is the Cologne Zoo partnership semi wild enclosure, this is free to visit, and is home to many endangered species. A little patience and you are sure to see a variety of animals. The botanical gardens (more rainforest walk) is close by, we choose to walk it was about 50 mins. A reasonably priced trip, with the potential of climbing up a waterfall. Bikes were available if you wanted to take a short trip to town (5 mins) where you can choose to go to the bars and restaurants or have a quite drink by the river. |Most of the staff do not speak English, but do have an understanding and the always communicated a warm welcome. The Host/receptionist Ngoc speaks excellent English and French and was able to give good advice to how suitable the trips would be for us and give the best variety of our interests. |The pool veiw and mountain veiw rooms are recycled shipping containers and were surprisingly quiet during the torrential rain. (We went in the rainy season). Ngoc was also kind enough to show me how to make ginger pancakes, with chopsticks, as I had expressed an interest when we were given them the day before. The restaurant was very good and when we asked the chef to make us a dinner of his choice, it was sublime. The owner of the farmstay was on site and interested in our views and opinions as he was always looking to improve the service. It was lovely to be in an environment where the owner and staff cared, but most of all to be amongst the rainforest, the reason I went...
Read moreWe had the most amazing 3 night stay at this hotel.||The setting of the hotel is magical - with a beautiful large pool, the surrounding mountains and farm. It isn’t situated in the centre of town but that didn’t bother us in the slightest. For starters, we were picked up on arrival from where the bus left us in town and we were dropped into town when needed. In addition, you will likely need a bike for all of the activities in the area, so, we felt it was a little insignificant whether we stayed in town or not (apart from staying out allowed us the beauty and peace of the hotels setting!) What’s more, the restaurant onsite is very good with a nice menu - give the Surprise Me option a try! - so there really is no need to go into town if you don’t want to!||The customer service was also amazing - a special mention to Ngoc, who responded to all our pre-arrival queries so quickly and who couldn’t do enough for us when we arrived to make our stay as special as possible. ||Another great highlight was the welcome booklet given to us on arrival. It gives you great information on all the activities in the area - including those you can do by yourself and those you need a tour for. This allowed us to really hit the ground running when we arrived and saved us needing to do all the research ourselves - we really appreciated this and it added to the quality of our time in Phong Nha significantly! On that note, phong Nha is worth at least a 3 day stay - there really is so much to do! ||The rooms themselves are based in reused shipping containers and are spacious and really clean with both heating and air conditioning. In general, the value for money was unquestionable.||In summary, we cannot recommend this hotel enough - just make sure you stay long enough to properly...
