Hung Vuong Hotel — Hotel in Quảng Ngãi City

Let’s start with the good: The reception staff is very welcoming and friendly, the maintenance staff were also very responsive. The beds are big and they were comfortable. Location is convenient and right in downtown Quang Ngai. The hotel is clean but it is run down.

The not great: Cockroach in bathroom on towels - gross. We appreciate the staff quickly and bravely took care of the situation. Air conditioner unit in our room was dripping water all night. We couldn’t figure out what the dripping noise was at first…until we saw the puddle on our floor in the morning. Fire Alarm going off at 4 in the morning. We weren’t evacuated but we did smell a lot of cigarette smoke so we suspect that’s what had set it off. Bath/Shower situation makes no sense if you’re tall. It’s a low shower head and water sprays everywhere no matter how much you try to keep it inside. After we showered we had to use the towel to wipe down the floor otherwise it’s a slipping hazard.

Booked here about a month in advance online. My girlfriend and I were cycling across Vietnam and arrived here after a 110mile ride from quy nhon (on Christmas day as well).|||| When we started to take our bikes to our room they told us no, they had to stay outside in the car/motorcycle parking lot. We explained that they were valuable and we weren't comfortable leaving them outside overnight something like 20 feet from the street and not even in sight of any hotel employees but they would not budge. We were forced to either leave them unattended or forfeit our room without a refund. ||||We even took care to clean the bikes and ourselves before getting to the hotel so it wasn't an issue of cleanliness. The hotel manager was rude and unhelpful, and obviously we left without our refund. We ended up crossing the street and getting a good room for much cheaper at...

I had a good sized room with traditional hallway, lots of closet space separate bathroom, queen sized bed and importantly good mattress. It was quiet from the rooms around but I was in the front the noise from the street was loud.||||Nice long desk with good drawers. Laminate floor.||||That's about it.||||The cleaning staff cleans the floors with a mop and no cleaning soap. They drag around a bucket with more and more dirt that collects in the mop. Basically they move dirt around never clean anything.||||Small bugs especially at night flying around, like sand fly sized bugs. I found mouse poop when I moved the bed sideways to get more room on one side.||||I'd go into the bathroom but pictures speak for themselves.||||Nice but not worth the 550,000 a night...
