A-Hang and his wife Y-Hoa are great hosts! They care about their guests in a very nice way and make us feel a little bit like part of their huge family with four generations. They picked us up at the bus station in Moc Chau by motorbikes, fix our luggage and drove us all the way uphill (about 30 minutes) and after our stay back to Moc Chau.
A-Hang showed us two days his village and the landscape around, two wonderful trekking tours. He told us a lot about the tradition of the Hmongs. He is able to talk in english, sometimes with google translator ;-)
We have had very delicious traditional dinner at her home, an old Hmong-House.
The Homestay-House with the two double bedroom is reachable by a way through the plum trees and a "natural stoned stairway". It is builded in someway Hmong-style and very clean.
We can recommend this homestay to people, who love the nature and want to learn, how the Hmong-people live on the countryside.
Please don't expect a "western-style-hotel": the mattresses are hard like a plank, the floor in the bathroom is wet after using the tap and the wall between the two rooms is out of wood and open under the roof, so you hear everything from your neighbours. But all these things are normal in Vietnam!
If we will be once again in Moc Chau, we will be happy to stay again in this homestay of A Hang, Y Hoa and...
Read moreI couldn't be happier to have chosen Hoa Phong Homestay during our motorbike trip around the Moc Chau area.
The Phong family are the kindest hosts and run a lovely homestay, serving delicious food. Don't miss it if you're exploring the beautiful Moc Chau area (the homestay is just 10km away from Moc Chau)
Hang, Hoa and their lovely two children are the best hosts one could ask for. Attentive, kind, take great care of their homestay, and are extremely helpful (Hang helped us find accommodation in another village for the following day, as we continued our trip south and due to the reunification Holiday many homestays were fully booked).
Also, Hang speaks very good English , so we were able to have a lovely conversation about the H'Mong culture, food and language, and exchanged lots of thoughts and ideas over dinner.
Highly...
Read moreHighly recommended!! One of the best homestay experiences I've had in Vietnam! The hosts Han and Hoa and their two kids are wonderful, very accommodating and kind! Han welcomed us with tea and plums and a very nice chat. The homestay is very clean, new and comfortable, we wanted to stay for longer but we didn't have time! The place is beautiful, tucked away in nature, in the middle of a plum orchard with beautiful views of the mountains! We stayed in the dorm, they had curtains for privacy and mosquito nets. The bathrooms were super clean. And the food was amazing!! We had a family style dinner and they shared their corn wine with us! Han speaks very good English and was super helpful when we were planning the next days of our trip, even calling some homestays for us to check availability. Thanks so much for the wonderful...
