Mường Trai Homestay — Hotel in Sơn La Province

The Homestay is next to a lake with nice scenery. The house to sleep is 2 minutes by food from the shore, where the owner has a floating restaurant. The day can be spent there entirely, all meals are served there at normal Homestay prices but with an incredible quality. Food is greatly inspired by Black Thai's traditions. The owner took me out to explore the lake, visiting a cave and a local fish farm. His dedication to the homestay is amazing and his kindness stays with you after you have left. Wonderful family run homestay, the owners are ethnic Thai Veitnemese people and are very friendly and kind. They cooked us an amazing traditional dinner with fresh fish caught from the lake and many other national foods.
