The development has 5 restaurants, 4 swimming pools, a golf course, 2 spas, mini Mart, coffee shop and Sports Store. Beautiful gardens. No electric cars ( other than Taxis are allowed inside the resort) transport is via golf carts called "buggies " with dedicated drivers who transport you around the resort free of charge.||The restaurants are large, if you want a intimate and romantic restaurant for a special occasion book the Resort Restaurant in the middle of the villas. Meals for 2 are typically $35 to $50 Australian including a beer. We ventured outside into Town but found the prices comparable or higher, the dining setting, presentation and food quality were inferior to FLC on both occasions.||Spa treatments range in cost from $25 for 30 minutes to $60 for an hour of specialised treatments.||It is April now and we feel we nearly have the resort to ourselves in a couple of weeks 3000 guests will arrive at the start of the high season...so this place is huge.||Our Room:||Large and spacious. Kitchen with a 2 element hob, no crockery or pots and pans. Spotless.Lounge suite needs attention as marked in several places. Furnishing are comfortable but not luxurious. Balcony with amazing sea views. A large river enters the sea just north of the Resort so you do not get the amazing azure coloured water we all dream about.||English:||We definitely experienced some problems. The ladies at the front desk are pleasant and beautiful however in this day and age they need to be able to communicate with guests. Then Martin arrived and introduced himself, he speaks English fluently and is professional, goes the extra mile and has a really personable demeanor. After meeting Martin, we could put Google Translator away :). Martin you truly made our stay wonderful. Words do not seem enough to express our appreciation. In recent weeks the Management Team have hired more English speakers from Malaysia and Ukraine. An English teacher is being hired to assist in staff training , so the current situation is being addressed and improvements should occur quite...
Read moreI travelled to the hotel in March 2020. Lots of hotels are taking precautions in light of CoVid, however the hotel handled it incredibly poorly.||||We arrived by motorbike and were immediately stopped by security who were under the impression that we couldn't possible have a reservation at the hotel. After providing them with proof, we were kept at the front gate, questioned about travel history (understandable given the current outbreak) and repeatedly asked to provide a government covid negative certificate (these are only required for tourists, not residents - which we are).||||We were eventually told we could stay, but that we would be moved to a remote section of the resort away from others, we would not be allowed to use the restaurant, pool, spa or other outdoor areas - we were to spend the evening in our room. We were not even allowed to check in at reception, instead we were kept outside for 20 minutes while we answered the same questions we had been asked by security, and filled out forms. The room had been allocated at the last minute when they realised we were foreign; the minibar was empty and sinks/bath were noticeably dirty.||||We ordered room service, as we had been told we had to, and were told it would take 35 minutes. It actually took around 1 hour 45 minutes, involving 5 phone calls to reception and room service. From arriving at the main gate, to dinner being delivered was over 2 and a half hours.||||The next morning I called to arrange checkout and security arrived on a golf cart collect us. On the journey to reception it became clear that a number of local visitors were at the hotel, who had not been confined to their rooms, or forced to wear face masks as we had been. I am fully supportive of precautions being taken in Vietnam, however the disparity in treatment we were afforded is unacceptable, especially given the resorts 5 star rating.||||Under other circumstances I have no doubt the hotel would live up to its' 5 start rating, however on this occasion they badly let...
Read moreWe enjoyed our three days stay at FLC luxury resort in a one bedroom villa with private pool and direct assess to the beach. The villa is spacious, nicely designed with high ceiling living room, dining room, kitchenette, bedroom with a king bed facing to the pool and sea and a large bathroom with bathtub and standing shower. FLC is a big complex with two hotels, a golf course and one resort that guests can use free electric cart service to go anywhere in the complex. Access to the resort area and amenities is limited to resort guests only. In addition, resort guests can use 2 more pools in the hotels and a huge salt water pool. Due to bad weather, we were not allowed to swim but sure enjoyed our walk on the long and clean beach! Maii Spa was so big boasting its own indoor swimming pool, a wet and dry saunas, 26 treatment rooms and a group of well trained masseuses. We enjoyed the spa services so much that we used it twice in our 3 days stay. Thank you Ms.Huong, Gái and Hoa for the best massage! During the low season, only the Seagull restaurant in FLC Grand hotel was opened for guests. Dinner was really good with fresh and well-cooked meals. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of Western and oriental food. We would like to thank the following staff in the restaurant for their wonderful services: Ms. Tâm (supervisor), Ms. Linh, Nhi, Thư and Nụ (servers). We also would like to acknowledge the wonderful custumer services offered by reception staff who went out of their way to assist us: Ms. Nga-Nam, Ms. Nga-Bắc, Ms. Hằng, Ms. Phương, and Mr Vũ (bellman) who pleasantly gave us rides and tour of the complex. Our only suggestion for FLC management is not to charge guests for gourmet and Vietnamese coffee at breakfast like all others 5...
