It is very common for those traveling to Vietnam, especially to Ho Chi Minh, to visit the calm, quiet, and charming Mekong Delta area. If you're looking for peace and tranquility in a beautiful home, then look no more than this apartment in Cái Bè. The apartment is well designed and equipped, and it sits directly over the Mekong River. It was a unique experience to walk out on the balcony and be right over the Mekong River with a nice view of community members carrying out their daily living and economic activities. The Nam Thi Holiday Home hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making for a very pleasant stay. I would strongly recommend asking for meals to be prepared for you and those accompanying you. Without exaggeration, their home-cooked meals were the best I had over my 2-week stay in Vietnam. I could not find a fresher and tastier meal in Ho Chi Minh, Hoi An, or Da Lat, and believe me, I tried hard! I would also strongly recommend that you ask for a boat tour that they can arrange, which will take you along the Mekong River for you to see floating markets and small tucked-away communities that offer high-quality locally produced goods (e.g. teas, honey, handbags, etc.). This property deserves more than 5 stars, so definitely book a stay with the Nam Thi...
Read moreThe entire family who own the business are extremely kind and helpful. Free bicycles. Tony organised our transport back to Ho Chi Minh which was less than half the price we paid Hahn Cafe travel. You may be better off contacting Tony prior to leaving and ask if they could organise travel for you. |We stayed here for three nights but it was way too long as there’s nothing really much to do other than the Mekong Delta river boat trip. |I only mention the following as things to note, NOT as a negative.|1. The bathroom and toilet is located downstairs and the bedroom is on the second level.|2. The steps leading downstairs are steep, narrow and extremely slippery when wet.|3. The bed and pillows are very hard and the linen or towels weren’t changed once.|4. The room is large, spacious with aircon and fan and mosquito net but the linen itself didn’t seem clean enough.|5. There are no decent restaurants to eat in so we had home cooked breakfast and dinner at the residence cooked by Tony’s Mum. Very tasty and healthy but if you not into a typical Asian breakfast then, this is...
