Homestay Ngọc Trâm — Hotel in Thừa Thiên Huế Province

The best budget accommodation we had in Vietnam. We stayed here in December 2024, after two weeks traveling on motorbikes across Vietnam, always staying in budget accomodation. This Homestay is brand new, it opened one week before our stay and the friendly owners will welcome you with a big smile. Rooms and shared areas are very clean, and all the furniture and household appliances are new. The homestay has 3 types of accommodation: double room with private bathroom (with hot water) and double room with shared bathroom. There is also a bigger room with 8 beds, but it was not clear to us if it was meant to be a dorm or a room for larger groups, as it has its own saloon with a massive TV (see pictures). There is an open shared kitchen with a big table and basic utensils for eating. It also includes hot/cold drinking water source. Overall, it is nicely decorated and has a small garden. A very comfortable stopover during a very rainy ride along the Ho Chi Minh Road!

Our room was well appointed with air con, a fan and a private bathroom, but the best part of our stay was our host, who was hugely friendly and spoiled us with delicious hot sweet potato and noodles for breakfast. Drinking water and coffee are available too, and the homestay supplies menus for a great local restaurant where we had our dinner. Our motorbikes were locked securely behind a gate under cover from the rain.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay! We got a quiet room at the back. Plenty of hot water. 5-10 minute walk to resturants and shops. BEAUTIFUL Koi pond at the entrance, large group table as well as a couple of smaller private tables. Plenty of parking for motorbikes. The couple that owns the place are an ABSOLUTE delight to hang out with. My wife and I spent quality time with both of them. They take pride in the wonderful hotel they have and it shows in the 5 star service...
