My husband and I traveled across many provinces of Vietnam for what was supposed to be a 20-day trip. However, we felt discouraged and disappointed by most of the accommodations we booked. We primarily used Booking.com, but many of the hotels we stayed at did not match the photos at all—some were completely different from what was advertised. It got so frustrating that we ended up cutting our trip short from 20 days to just 14. At that point, we had lost all expectations… until we found Steria Beach Resort.
If there’s one word that truly describes what a beachfront getaway should be like, it would be “beyond expectations”—and that’s exactly what Steria Beach Resort was for us. We were impressed from the very first step we took into the resort!
💁♀️ Service & Staff What impressed me the most was the exceptional help we received from the receptionist, who assisted us with changing our check-in date and offered so many helpful suggestions. Initially, we planned to stay just two nights before flying home—but we ended up extending our stay by one more night simply because we were so impressed by every aspect of the service. Honestly, we regretted changing our travel plans so early, because we wish we had found this place sooner.
🌊 Atmosphere The resort is set on a peaceful beach with crystal-clear water—you can literally see the sand beneath the surface. The design of the resort blends beautifully with nature, with garden and beach zones and sea-breeze-friendly rooms. Just sitting there doing nothing felt relaxing.
🏠 Room The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had a garden view with flowers blooming right outside our window. On the first day, the resort welcomed us with a delicious set of snacks. And every day after that, they delivered freshly baked cookies to our room—so tasty!
🍽️ Food Breakfast was varied and flavorful, offering both Vietnamese and Western options. The hot pho and Vietnamese coffee were particularly excellent! The resort restaurant was also a lovely place to dine, with stunning views and incredibly fresh seafood. The staff were friendly and attentive—what touched me the most was that they remembered our names. That shows a level of care and attentiveness that’s rare. And the biggest surprise of all: they packed a breakfast for us on the morning we had an early flight. OMG—what amazing service!
🧘♀️ Activities & Facilities There’s an infinity pool overlooking the sea, a spa, a fitness center, and various water activities. All the staff were lovely and very helpful—truly warm and welcoming.
💇♀️ One small downside The only minor issue I had—as a woman—was the hairdryer in the bathroom. It wasn’t very powerful and required you to hold the button down the entire time, so it took a while to dry my hair. But honestly, that’s just a tiny detail and didn’t affect our overall...
Read moreNice and beautiful property with brand consistency, especially for their interior design. Here are the downsides: -It took forever for pool service, which is ridiculous (especially for early evening time on a weekend). They need better staff division regardless of events. It's the Easter weekend with a high occupancy rate, so at least have someone to attend to in-house guests in the pool area. -Unfortunately, the a la carte meal (Beijing duck 3 ways since he's a Hong Kong chef) in the evening was way below our expectations vs what we read about the chef (being fooled by the PR articles even though we were aware of the tactics). Consistencies in internal communication, service, and food quality that they need to improve here. -Very bad lifeguard on duty personnel. He lied down on the hut the entire time we were at the beach. There's a steep sand slope at their beach area due to the strong waves, but it turned more narrow and stable when you "dare" to move further that slope. The reality was: I dared not move further than that despite knowing the design of the beach here (I stayed at another property next door few months back and their beach does not have this issue), because my friend could not swim. And I would not risk my life in a strange beach location, since I could not turn to any experienced lifeguard for questions. We were only able to catch him later for questions when we left the beach (he had to sit up to respond to us). Shame and lame service, I must criticize here. -There was a marathon happening on Sunday, during our departure time. The property is located in the center of the road blocks. No communication or warning for the guests was issued. We almost missed the flight because no cars could enter the property, forcing us to book their airport service at a very high (and in that situation, monopoly) price. We don't mind paying, but you could do better than putting guests in that situation. We would still book your airport service regardless, but your advanced notice could have provided us with better planning and prevented bitter feelings toward your hospitality towards the very end...
Read moreI had such an amazing stay at this beautiful Greek themed resort last week . Just one hour domestic flight away from Ho Chi Minh city, it was lovely to get away from the busy and chaotic scene of that city and come to rest in such tranquility . Mr Minh, the front desk manager was personally on hand to welcome me to the resort with a nice welcoming drink and offered fantastic service throughout my 6 days stay . Mr Minh also took time to show me the different types of villas on the hotel grounds and I was bowled over by the Presidential villa which came complete with its own wine cellar and fully equipped kitchen with Le Creuset and SMEG appliances . Every villa is beautiful ,spacious and had all the amenities required. This includes bathtubs which one is able to soak the moments away . I was also able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the nice view and read a book . The Terra coffeehouse has a lovely koi pond in the centre and offers a good choice of delicious Vietnamese fare. Do try the fish soup , beef pho , beef stew, fried noodles and iced vietnamese coffee . I had one of the best massages by masseur Ms Tienh at the spa. The relaxing time at the spa included jacuzzi, steam room and sauna too . There are bicycles onsite which you can rent and explore the surroundings outside the hotel . One can also take nice walks outside along the promenade by the beach and there is a nice park and monument just across from the resort . The beach is accessible just a walk across from the resort. Due to the World Cup season now , the hotel set up screens projecting the live matches at the Gozo Bar . Movie nights are also organized in the gardens . There is really something for everyone here and it caters to honeymooners, families , couples , children . Such a lovely resort set amongst all the pine trees and manicured landscaping . If you want something away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and chaotic traffic , do come to the Stelia Beach Resort . I wish to come again and wish the GM Michael Melzer and his team...
