Location |Luxury Vinh Phuc resort is 1.5 hours outside Hanoi. Hanoi Transfer Service picked us up at the airport the charge was US$60 for car and driver. Grab is between US40 to $50. |Small village with basic restaurants and small shops to buy beer about 1km walk. Resort set among Sugar Cane and Rice fields. Resort is approx 4 years old.||Facilities.|Two swimming pools. Large indoor heated pool and massive outdoor pool with separate kids pool 0.9 metres deep. Kids pool has animals tiled into the bottom of the pool. Kids play area with slides and swings.|Large Aviary with Budgies, Doves, Peacocks and Monkeys. Outdoor pool tables, Golf Driving range. Full sized Tennis Courts. Spa with steam sauna room and private treatment rooms.|The gardens are extensive and truly beautiful with a large lake which sees white and black swans visit. Paddle boats ate available for use on the lake.||Restaurant|Grand restaurant and bar. Extensive Menu with Asian ,European and Italian options. All food was delicious. Meals around $10 to $12 Australian. Every night there is a different 6 course menu for $20 Australia. Happy hour has buy one get one free for beer and cocktails from 4pm to 6.30pm.||Room|Huge room, spotless and well furnished, marble bathroom with shower. Comfy bed, Lots of English TV Channels available.||English|In the past this may have been an issue at this hotel but recent changes have markedly improved the situation. We have not had to revert to Google Translator in our 4 day stay!!!. ||The Reception staff do not speak English, they make you comfortable and call an a fluent English Speaker Tam or Hong to greet you. Pls note Reception is 200 metres from the main hotel, so you do not see these staff again during your stay. Once in the hotel, the Restaurant Manager, It Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Hong, Tam, Chet, Jacques and Deon all speak perfect English.||Downside is no Tour Program is available.To hire a local Taxi it is $50 Australian for the day but you will need Google Translator as the local Taxi Drivers do not speak English. Airport pick up is around USD26 and airport return transfer about USD22. Local tour to Tamdao (1hr) or Hanoi (1.5 hrs) cost around USD35 for a car with driver.||This resort is blessed with helpful staff especially Hong of Sales, Tam the Secretary to GM, Dai the F&B Manager, Arfan the GM, Jacques and Deon. Love this quiet place with nice landscape, good for relaxation, this resort is an hour from Hanoi International Airport. ||||Nearest town to visit Tam Dao is an hour away while Hanoi town is 1.5 hours by car which the resort can arrange a car with driver that cost VND800k, approximately USD35 for a day tour.||||This resort is blessed with helpful and friendly staff to accommodate your needs. Restaurant with asian, local and western food is tasty and reasonable priced. There is a bar for your drinking session.
