Stayed here for a night off a friend's recommendation and it was amazing!! ||We rented a 2 BR unit on the 7th floor with a view of the city that overlooked the pool. ||The rooms were beautiful, modern and extremely comfortable. Each bedroom had its own TV and there was PLENTY of storage space all throughout. We learned that the hotel had just recently opened and the suite clearly reflected it. Every drawer and cabinet had that wonderful new wood smell - I also loved the light fixture in the living room, it looked like a modern piece of art. ||The bathrooms were very nice amd the tub was great, it fit 2 people perfectly. The shampoo and body wash were also quite nice and could easily pass as salon/spa quality. The beds were AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE and my back definitely appreciated it!!||The provided toothbrushes looked to be made from recycled material (which I think was bamboo) and it was nice to see the hotel focus on making an ecological impact and reduce plastic waste. They also used straws made from bamboo for their drinks at the Yen A Cafe.||We ate dinner outside the hotel and had hotpot and their infamous haku-bay steak from Japan. Both were absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend the Haku-bay - it was juicy, tender and full of rich flavor from the meat itself, with the gravy helping to enhance it. I ended up not using the sauce as the meat was so delicious on its own. The mashed potato's were also excellent and had a wonderful airy texture to them. The hotpot was quite fun and enjoyable, especially the mushrooms and tofu. I loved how fresh everything tasted!!||Nearby the hotel, about 1 block away, is a wonderful little park. The family took a nice stroll through there after dinner and it really was a great way to end the night. The weather was a nice 75 degrees with a cool breeze, so the definitely helped.||We went to breakfast in the morning and the variety offered was beyond our expectations. Aside from offering delicious beef pho, they had Western options like sausages, bacon, muffins, donuts, croissants, cereal, sunny side up eggs, and potato hash/wedges. They even had a cheese and salumi plate!! The juices were also A+ (especially the peach and detox!). If thst wasn't enough they also offered an omelette bar where the chefs would make your order as you liked. This was a rolled omelette style, meaning every bite was perfectly proportioned with cheese, egg and whatever ingredients you chose. It was safe to say that there was something for everyone. Oh, and did I mention this was included with our booking? This ain't your typical continental breakfast!||The Yen A Cafe is also very nice and is part of the main lobby area- highly recommend the salted coffee and smoking coffee. Incredible flavors that really give a unique twist to the typical Vietnamese "ca phe" you normally find. The smoking coffee is one i have yet to find anywhere else in Vietnam and the flavor is amazing and memorable. They also offer some nice pastries as well, but we didn't partake in those. ||One thing we did notice is that a lot of girls were taking photos in their designer wear all around the lobby and outside areas. It was quite a funny site but also reinforces the notion of how "luxurious" this hotel really is and feels, all at an affordable price (well, for us as foreigners that pay the same to stay at some motel 6 or hilton garden with half the amenities and comfort in the US ).||Highly recommend staying here if visiting Vinh Yen. It easily beats the "Royal" hotel that sits in front of it, for the same price point. It was funny to see the guests at that hotel peer down from their room windows in jealousy wishing they booked here. Don't make the same...
Read moreAfter a hectic work week, I decided to treat myself to a relaxing weekend getaway, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to unwind. From the moment I arrived, Ms. Nhung at reception provided a warm welcome and helpful assistance that set the tone for my entire stay. What truly stood out was the exceptional staff—everyone from room service to in-room dining and cafeteria personnel was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests had a pleasant experience. The room itself was comfortable and well-appointed. While there wasn't a bathtub, the shower was excellent, and I particularly appreciated the modern touch of having a Japanese automatic toilet. These small luxuries made a significant difference in my comfort level.
One of the hotel's greatest advantages is its accessibility—less than an hour's drive from Hanoi, making it perfect for a quick escape to breathe fresh air away from the city's pollution. While my overall experience was excellent, two minor improvements would enhance future stays: strengthening the internet connection throughout the property and adding clear signage in the parking lot directing guests to the hotel elevator. If you're looking for a comfortable, pleasant retreat not far from Hanoi, I highly recommend this hotel for its attentive service, comfortable accommodations, and excellent...
Read moreI stayed here for two nights on a short solo trip, and honestly, I didn’t expect much at first. Vinh Yen isn’t a big tourist spot, but this hotel really surprised me. It’s quiet, modern, and feels kind of hidden away — in a good way.||My room was way bigger than I thought. It looked more like a small apartment, with a kitchen, a washing machine, even a little dining table. Everything felt new and super clean. The bed was soft, the pillows were nice, and I slept like a rock.||The staff deserve a shout-out too — everyone was polite, smiling, and genuinely helpful. One of them even helped me book a taxi to a nearby local restaurant when my app glitched. Small things like that really make a difference.||Breakfast was better than expected. They had local food (I tried the pho — really good!) and some Western stuff like pastries and eggs. The coffee was okay, not amazing, but good enough to start the day.||The only downside? It’s not super close to Hanoi — around an hour by car, maybe more depending on traffic. So if you don’t have a vehicle, it can be a little inconvenient. But for me, that’s also part of the charm — away from the noise, no stress.||All in all, I really liked my stay. Modena by Fraser Vinh Yen feels calm, well-run, and kind of underrated. I’d definitely come back again, maybe next time for a...
