I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my boyfriend for a break from our roadtrip from Hanoi to Da-Nang, The hotel is gorgeous and we were happy with our room, even though we had to change as there was lots of ants in the first one they gave us. We were only meant to be staying for one night but because we was tired and achey we decided to treat ourselves to the spa/massage the next day so paid for an extra night just for it. Never having a massage before I felt very nervous, now being English it made it much worse as I knew there wasn't going to be much communication between me and the masseuse. My boyfriend went straight to his room and I went to mine. A lady passed me a towel and pointed to a room (which was a sauna and a shower) I had no idea what to do so I guessed that I just sat in sauna in my underwear and waited. After 20 minutes of hopping in and out of the sauna and shower wondering where the lady was I got out and sat in my towel, another 10 minutes passed I got very agitated so I phoned my boyfriend (who had nearly finished his massage) to ask his masseuse where mine is. She finally showed up after 30 minutes of waiting with a phone in her hand facetiming a man, I said hello to her she ignored me and carried on with her call. Eventually I got on the bed where she started giggling at me the whole way through and I got my fingers cracked and my back rubbed for 15 minutes when she looked at me and suggested I was done. Very confused and annoyed, I put my clothes on and rang my boyfriend who by this point was still having his massage! He had a full 45 minute session and I had 15 minutes of being laughed at and having a shockingly bad massage. This has been an awful experience (first massage experience too!) And I wouldn't suggest wasting your money or time having one done...
Read moreThis hotel was booked for us as part of a private tour by car from HCMC to Hanoi and Vinh was really only a spot to break the journey from Hue to Hanoi. It was a very basic hotel room which really needs a complete refurbishment. I think the hotel is probably used for conferences etc and not, as a general rule, for tourists but if they want to pick up the tourist trade they need to improve. The night we were there, a party was being held in the dining room and we had to eat in the bar area in the foyer - the staff were very helpful and assisted us with this. We certainly did not see any other Caucasian tourists in the hotel or in Vinh, for that matter! Certainly only a spot for a one...
Read moreThe room was clean and comfortable, reception was friendly and quick. Breakfast was included but only until 9 a.m, which I think is a bit too early. It wasn’t all too good, but enough. The only thing I can complain about is the staff literally shouting in the hallway at 7:30 in the morning, and a sudden knock on almost every door by them without any context. I opened up but the lady was already 3 rooms ahead. We didn’t order a wake up service at 7:50 in the morning nor did we have to check out, so I don’t really get what that was about. Sleeping was no option anymore due to that and as mentioned before,...
