It has been an amazing experience at Oanh’s place. Truly a home-stay!!! We felt more than welcomed. Oanh is a careful and extremely kind host, a women full of energy and sympathy. She will provide you with the best Vietnamese food you’ll ever taste and make you feel at home with simplicity and elegance. Take time to have a chat, feel free to ask questions: at Ngoc Sang you will learn more about Vietnamese people then in any metropole ore museum. If you want to experience how Vietnamese people from the area of the Mekong-delta spend their lives, stay at Ngoc Sang! Unfortunately we were a little bit in a hurry, we could only stay for 48 hours. I would definitely recommend much more! You will be provided with bikes to explore An Binh’s island nature and its characteristic little paths trough the bushes and trees. Moreover you will have all what is necessary to feel comfortable, including an excellent wifi connection and air conditioning. Considered that you are in the middle of the countryside… there is simply everything you need, nothing is missing:) For us, Ngoc Sang itself has been THE attraction of Vinh Long. The market is for sure an interesting place to go, and the boat trip we unfortunately missed must be fantastic. Thank you so much and all the best to your beautiful family, Ngoc Sang! 🙏🏻 See you next time!🤗 P.s.: Banans from the garden are gorgeous, if you have some special wishes for food simply ask and you will get more...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay for 2 nights in the double room. The homestay is kept very clean, and the family are so kind and welcoming you feel right at home. Relaxing on the hammocks and taking the free bicycles for a ride around the island were our highlights. As well as Oanh’s delicious authentic Vietnamese food. Oanh was super helpful arranging a Mekong tour with her brother, visiting a local pottery factory and bee farm, which was a way to nice spend the morning on the river. She also helped us plan our onward bus and taught us a few new Vietnamese words. Her English is excellent!
The room is basic and bed is pretty firm but we didn’t spend much time in the room only to sleep, so wasn’t an issue.
Thank you to Oanh and her family for such a relaxing stay! We would recommend Ngoc Sang Homestay to anyone looking for a true taste of Vietnamese hospitality and cuisine! It’s also worth contacting Oanh to book the room using the number on Google, as it’s a smooth booking and she helped advise on the easiest and cheapest route to the guesthouse (from Saigon). She also offered to pick us up from the ferry which is a short motorbike ride away from...

This is the perfect place to experience the countryside of the Mekong Delta. The homestay is situated among miles of flower-lined lanes that wind among the neighborhoods. Local life is happening all around; you see people tending to their animals, gardening, going to/coming from work and school. It's great for taking a nice slow bike ride.
The owner of the homestay, Oanh, is great. She's very kind, pleasant to converse with, and is a really good cook. In particular, one dinner she served me that included spring rolls where I got to soak and roll up my own rice paper was amazing! Oanh made it very comfortable for me to join the household of her and her daughter for a few nights.
The house is on a small inlet of the river, and Oanh has a couple of wooden boats. She let me and some friends I met at the homestay take one out, and it was very fun. It was also very cool to watch how much the water moved in/out with the...
