My partner and I stayed at the Jardin du Mekong for one night and would highly recommend it for a unique viewpoint of local life along the Mekong Delta. The property is really interesting, with rustic yet beautiful cabins that are comfortable and provide all of the basics. It was relaxing to sit outside on the swing and enjoy the scenery outside – there are lots of little streams, bridges, trees and flowers around.||||Vinh helped provide everything that we needed, helping to arrange our bus from Saigon ($5 or about 110,000 VND each) and having motor bikes at the stop to pick us up and take us to his homestay. He also arranged for a boat ride along the Mekong Delta (about 400,000 VND) which was a perfect way to see the area – our guide even walked us through a local village and took us into his family home for a fresh coconut (picked right from his tree). Dinner was plentiful and yummy and it was fun to help out with some of the preparation. The foot soak with hot lemongrass water was a nice way to end the evening. The next morning Vinh showed us the way into town on bike so that we could walk around the local market. He kindly took us for coffee as well.||||The personal touches and glimpse of local life (we didn’t see other tourists in this area) make this a great place to spend...
Read moreWe were taken to this beautiful place by Ms San tours Chau doc. What a very special time we had. Thank you to Vinh for his delightful homestay and personal experience. ||When we arrived after a car trip from HCM the car stopped in a blind road where we were met by a motorcycle that took our luggage as we meandered down a village path to an oasis. Each lodge was set in green paradise with ponds ,old traditional cooking equipment and fruit trees. The food was the best yet in vietnam as we were taught how to prepare traditionally with ban Xeo grinding our own rice mixture. Vinhs special fried banana with chocolate to finish it off. And then the lemon grass foot bath to send us off to a peaceful sleep.Vinh took us for a bike ride through the lush village to the market and stopped off for a cafe . The next day he arranged for a boat trip where the driver took us to his home and his pagoda and we felt invited into a real authentic non touristy experience.||Jardin du Mekong’s self contained units are spacious, private, cool and well appointed. They’re set among the large, shady and lushly beautiful garden. A simply beautiful and restful place in a beautiful corner...
Read moreThe most amazing experience we had in Vietnam! When we booked Vinh emailed us the address of the bus station we needed to go to in HCMC and he booked our bus tickets in advance (100,000VND). The bus conductor told us when to get off and Vinhs drivers were there with mopeds to collect us. They took us to Vinhs down some tiny little lanes (about 15 min ride). We stayed in a beautiful bungalow. Vinh organised a boat tour for us in the afternoon (3 hrs for 400,000VND) which was incredible. The next day he took us on a bike ride to the local market. They journey was incredible, banana trees, palms, papaya trees, through pepper groves etc.... it's was pure paradise! He also arranged for us to have a foot massage in the evening and our dinner An breakfast the following morning was included too. We also took part in cooking the dinner which was a great experience too. We didn't see another tourist during our whole stay except for 2 other people staying at his place. Absolutely incredible!!!
