We stayed for 4 nights and had a huge, spotlessly clean room with a veranda overlooking the gardens. The bathroom was well equipped and huge too. This hotel is popular with the Vietnamese and so things are not necessarily to Western tastes (although the staff will do everything they can to be accommodating) but we prefer to be somewhere with local influence. |The meals in the vast dining room were excellent. Again, truly Vietnamese. The cost was reasonable (and for drinks and outings). A "small" food portion does for 2 people. The breakfasts again reflected Vietnamese taste, so the juices were a bit sugary for us. I expect if we had asked our excellent waiter he would have arranged freshly squeezed. However, the Vietnamese options (soup, cold meats, etc) were delicious.|The management worked really hard to make our stay enjoyable and some speak good English. We enjoyed boat trips out to see fire flies at night, an evening trip to watch the kingfishers and taxi rides to Ben Tre market (about £10 to get into town).|If you want a standard international resort this is not for you. As a previous writer said, it is a little rough around the edges but it offers a real Vietnamese experience. Once the swimming pool is built (currently under construction) it will offer more appeal as the rooms are not full. Beautiful new bungalows are being constructed on the Mekong itself.|We would stay here again and wish the...

I stayed here overnight as part of a tour group, following a day trip in the Mekong Delta, and before travelling back to HCMC the next morning (about 1.5-2 hour drive). I feel that this resort is still finding its niche. It is set upon a very large property, and the rooms comprise individual buildings, almost like a cabin. Rooms were clean although a little sterile with the tile floors, and the team share room had double beds but they were very firm. The pool was pretty and a small river runs alongside the pool and reception area. The downside to this place is there is very little English amongst the staff and there is nowhere within walking distance to go to. The hotel restaurant was not open as such, although did eventually agree to make some meals. The breakfast area was hard to find, as it is I'm a different area to that described in the hotel directory in the room. The breakfast was small, but had fresh fruit, bread, yogurt along with pho and egg stations. There did not appear to be many guests, but that could be as it was mid week. I feel that this resort has a lot of potential if it can find its niche. I think if you were a local living in HCMC that this would be a relaxing and cosy place to stay for a weekend getaway, however it is not really catered for a western...

I thought the good outweighed the bad reviews - I just cycled 67 miles from Ho Chi Minh to here by bike (I am touring on a bicycle) - wanted to treat myself with massage, good food before my ride tomorrow!||1) They tried to overcharge versus the online price|2) No massage - Spa shut at 5|3) it is weekday so absolutely no one there, you are only guest and paying full price!|4) as a result of 3) they save costs by closing things early / not opening them (e.g. Pool or kitchen!)|5) everyone tries to be helpful but just not enough demand currently - if it gets to fill its rooms more it could be great|6) landscape / scenery is excellent|7) given the lack of food / massage, the closest busy area is quite far away, so really stuck.... after a 67|Mile icycle...
