While Perolas resort is a beautiful destination and has nice villas to stay, the service and coordination is horrible. My fiance and I stayed at this resort for what was supposed to be 5 nights. We even prepaid up front once we arrived at the resort with an invoice of how many nights we were staying and paid for. However on the morning of our last night, we were bombarded multiple times by housekeepers and hotel staff telling us we needed to checkout and that we did not have the room for the last night (that we had already paid for). They had another large group arriving that day and they did not plan accordingly and oversold the resort/rooms. It was extremely disruptive to us and I felt bad for the new guests who were all waiting in the lobby for hours with no rooms… we had to leave the resort with little notice and they never apologized to us.
The service at the restaurant and bar is also very poor. They do not know how to accommodate groups of guests at the pool, they ran out of most drinks, alcohol, soft drinks, and even WATER some days, and they would close the restaurant without notice at popular meal times because they could not handle the workload/were not prepared. The staff operate very very slow and they do not have an adequate point of sale system that can sum all of the charges for your room at the end of your stay to checkout. I was handed a list of 20 receipts that we had to go through manually and use our phone calculators to figure out how much was owed. For a resort of that caliber they should have a system that can aggregate your total room/bar/restaurant charges from your stay, in one itemized receipt, with a clear automated total at the end. It took a very long time to checkout of the resort because of this and leaves a lot of room for...
Read moreI wanted to give 3 stars/5 but then decided to add 1 extra-star for the staff in general and for Tuấn the receptionist in particular. They are very efficient and overly dedicated.
The resort itself is pretty worn out and badly maintained. Yellow stains are all over the white walls. The bathtub looks like it hasn’t been cleen for forever.
I’m also not convinced with the open air bathroom concept, along with the small safari nearby. I found cockroaches in the shower which is very off-putting. Flies and mosquitos are present all year-long. Not to mention the wifi being very weak and unstable. I can’t connect to wifi in the master bedroom and the living room, but in the children’s room.
We went there on low-season so there was no buffet breakfast, but à-la-carte breakfast with no maximum order (you order everything you want from menu, it is not restricted to one dish/person). The cooking is acceptable and the portions are generous.
I’m not one who usually gives out low rating but in overall this is a pretty disappointing experience, yet not surprising. Having taken into consideration the bad reviews, luckily we only booked...
Read moreThis is one of the worst resorts i’ve ever stayed so far. First of all, the water in the bathroom just very weak, I spent like almost an hour to take a shower, there are a lot of bugs also (since the bathroom is outside), not to mention infinite amount of splinters on the floor just somehow always got in my feet. The man who made the drinks for us at the bar had no bartender skills, maybe he’s just a cleaner i think. I ordered one butterfly pea tea macchiatto and it was just sugar, coloring chemical and milk solely, i only took few sip and threw it away immediately, 0/10 if you ask me. Each villa has few bikes and people just came to mine and steal them. My brother lost his swimming goggles and my dad lost his shoes just because they put their things in the bike basket. Of course the resort didnt take any responsibility for any of them. There are a lot of bugs in the food of the morning buffet too by the way!! Lastly, thanks for nothing! And please do something to change...
