So, where exactly do I start.|I stayed in this homestay for about 2 nights, all on my own, and this family greeted me so warm! It’s so interesting to witness and experience a part of their culture, of their daily life, of hmong people in general! The meals were also delicious, Chu’s wife always prepared an extra vegetarian option for me, which is something I’m really grateful for.|The whole day trekking with Chu was amazing, even though he doesn’t speak a lot of english, he kept trying to explain things to me, which was so very kind! We had beautiful views on our way, and I’ve seen many views, from Ta Van, to Sapa, and honestly, Mu Cang Chai has the most beautiful views! The rice fields were sadly empty, due to the harvest in September, but it was still beautiful and peaceful!|The other day, Yien and his wife An joined me to do the waterbuffalo tour. It’s fair to say that I was scared in the beginning, but they were so friendly and super nice to talk to! Both of them speak very good english, and took many pictures aswell!|Afterwards we cut some grass for the buffalo to eat, and when I cut myself, Yien helped me stop the bleeding with their natural medicine (a purple flower, I forgot the name).|At lunch, An told me a lot about hmong culture, an the general vietnamese culture aswell! I truely appreciate that you all shared a part of your life with me!|I also really hope that Yien and An get to travel a lot more in future, and hopefully visit China and other more developped...

Yes - This is where you want to have the best homestay of your life!

We spent several days here ( 1 day at Indigenous Homestay 1 and then several days here).

Honestly, we miss being here with this beautiful family every single day! The happiness, the smiles, the laughter, the food, and the view - AMAZING!

My husband and I had our 12th wedding here (yes, you read that right!) but this review is for our experience here!

Ying and his family allowed us to become honorary H’mongs during our wedding. What an incredible experience. We learned so much about the way of life of the H’mong, their traditions, and their family. This was honestly one of the best experiences of our life!

We realize not everyone will have a H’mong wedding. So, if you are interested in trekking, cultural activities, spending time with the H’mong people - you will be overjoyed to be here.

The room is comfortable, the view is amazing.

The food is cooked with so much love, and family dinners are so much fun. The wine is delicious!

It is a little difficult to get from the road to the homestay, but no worries at all, the brothers help!

Seriously, these are the experiences that you travel for!

Do not hesitate to come here! You will have the time of your life!

We have had an unforgettable experience at this accommodation thanks to Ly Thi Na and her entire family. Thanks to them, we were able to admire one of the most breathtaking landscapes we have ever seen, all from our room. Having breakfast while gazing at the endless rice terraces of Mu Cang Chai is an immensely valuable experience that we will always remember. Beyond the incredible views, we had the opportunity to live alongside a Hmong family, observe their way of life, and walk through villages, admiring the daily life of the locals. The family prepared delicious meals, and during lunch and dinner, we sat together with them to enjoy their wonderful flavors. Afterwards, we would gather around the fire to enjoy its warmth and share time together. The facilities are very well maintained and provide everything you need, the bed was very comfortable! They also offer a motorcycle transport service to and from the accommodation, which is very convenient. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Vietnam. I will never forget these days spent with the family. We would like to thank them for their hospitality, especially Ly Thi Na for always making sure we had everything we needed. We hope to see them again someday. If you want to live an authentic experience, don’t hesitate...

A strong highlight of the trip! After a few days in Sapa, this felt like getting right to the heart of Vietnam, with stunning views, well defined rice terraces, delicious local food. Yien has been a formidable host, telling stories about the history of his country, his family, and himself and how they got to start a homestay of their own (and why it's the best ;-)) It's easy to go trekking on your own but Yien and his brothers will also happily take you on tours to nail the right places, and it's as simple as going down the right rice terraces from their place to get to the main view points around. We were so happy to go on the bike tour with them (recommended for adventurers, the "roads" are bumpy and you better hold on for dear life to your seat, but we all made it alive (adding to the charm I would argue)) and made the most of our 1 day on site. On a last note, I had somehow crashed a drone on a hill next to their place, and Yien and his brother went above and beyond to help me recover it and even deliver it to our next stop on our way back to Hanoi. Can't thank them enough - real encounters, real touched by their kindness, ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED. 🙏 Till next time!

We were a group of 4 friends and booked the stay for 2 nights 3 days at MU CANG CHAI in the Indigenous Homestay. It was more than an usual trip, it was one of the most authentic experience we had in Vietnanme. During our stay we forgot that we were on a trip and felt like part of the family. They are humbled and with a big heart and welcomed us very warmly. They sure know how to be hosts. Everything was always clean, the bedsheets smell like soap. The food was amazing and we always had the meals with them. We were lucky to have a special dish of Hmong with all the family together. It was a very funny dinner. They don't speak easily English, but Google translate resolved that barrier. We had one tour with the host, with trekking between ricefields, and through tiny paths lost in the middle of nowhere in La Pa Tan region. We never saw other tourists during our stay, and only saw local people working and harvesting rice. The views were breathtaking with incredible landscapes. We had an unforgettable experience and hope we can come back. More than a "homestay" it was a new friends that we made. Highly recommend them to have a full Hmong family experience.
