Mountain Breath Retreat - Am Nui Tho — Hotel in Yên Bái Province

Booked this place very spontaneously, on my way from Sapa to Hanoi, and I that was an amazing idea! First of all I would highly recommend to stay here if are ever driving by this area or planing to visit lake and province. The road to the place is very good, don’t worry that you have to drive bit outside the city. Place by itself is brilliant clean, you don’t find many places in Vietnam, that will be clean in that level! Bed is super comfortable and has electric bed linens, what makes your stay during the winter time, just so pleasant! Blanket is just like a cloud, view is spectacular! Also you definitely have to check a view point with bench for the breathtaking Mountain View!

Tieng and his family are super nice, and make you feel safe and comfortable, what is very important during the travels. As it was written before, he speaks English fluently, so you will have a chance to ask some questions.

I’m very appreciated, that we had time to have a small talk about everything including history, politics, nutrition and basic things. I would like to listen and listen, if I wound have to go back to Hanoi.

So long story short, book this place and try to spend at least 2 nights, you would like it!!!

We had a great stay at Mountain Breath Retreat! The family welcomed us warmly and made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. We had some really nice conversations with Phuong about politics and society and he gave us a lot of helpful ideas how to use the time here, which made our stay even more special.

Even though the weather was bad, we still enjoyed our time here. The room was very clean, meeting hotel standards, and we were impressed by the overall comfort. For 300,000 VND per night, it’s an amazing value!

Another highlight are the two viewpoints and the border at the shower as well as a warm evening light and the bedroom.

An amazing home stay with an amazing host! The location is wonderful although it is a little bit far away from the bus station, you can easily get a taxi and when you arrive here, you can rent a motorbike. We were sorted out with an amazing tour on arrival, a wonderfully clean room, and from the accommodation there is a fantastic viewpoint that you can walk up in the evening and see the stars! The owner of also bought another Viewpointe a couple of kilos away, which gives you a phenomenal view of the lake. And they’ve left it open to the public because they’re so lovely!
