TripAdvisor ||As a hotelier myself… this hotel is still in its dark ages. First and foremost, you struggle to get to the hotel from main road or any road for that matter, because the signage is very poor, if not non-existent, until you ask for directions and find it close to the hotel. |There’s been some moderate much desired refurbishment done, which is great. However, the service product quality is so basic for a hotel of its caliber and history. I visited the hotel during the Trade Fair period and noticed that there was a lot of VIPs (especially government officials), patronizing the hotel, never once did I see the hotel’s senior management welcoming any of them or on the floor during the busy operation. Staff, although very polite and welcoming were all over the place because of luck of leadership. Managers, if any, we’re never seen. I attended a 2 day business seminar and I expected the hotel management team to introduce itself to the delegates and provide some housekeeping recommendations/rules of the hotel looking at the caliber of delegates that attended the seminar (with the minister as the guest of honor).|The food and beverage delivery needs to be seriously looked at. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing… various packages/boxes of teas/coffees displayed, fried eggs in cheffing dishes, use of paper serviettes, no Point of Sale system… the list is endless, I can go on and on. There’s need to look into these issues otherwise this hotel cannot compete with the likes of The Urban or Protea. Nothing would entice anyone to patronize the hotel given its location unless there’s an overhaul in the...

Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Renovated Mukuba Hotel in Ndola. Tucked away in the industrial area, this gem offers a fantastic setting for events, accommodation, and dining.
The rooms are well maintained, and the service is excellent. Plus, the showers have reliable hot water, which is always a nice touch!😄
However, there are a couple of downsides to consider. The hotel is quite far from town, which might be inconvenient for some. Additionally, it gets very busy during the trade fair due to its strategic location and lastly the hotel is not up to date technically, but it's clear improvements...
