Hanlo Estate — Hotel in Lusaka Province

Hanlo Estate is an immaculate oasis. I was fortunate enough to stay in an 'almost-completed', separate cottage that was complete enough for me. The finishes are stunning yet simple and well thought out. There was nothing missed in the cottage that I could want or need. It felt isolated (in a good way) and completely safe and cozy. The king size bed was ridiculously comfortable - apparently specially ordered so they could offer the best quality sleep you could possibly ever have.||I had one dinner and two breakfasts at the Estate, seated on a lovely patio overlooking the pool and bush beyond. The food was delicious and generous. ||The location is just far enough away from town to be peaceful and quiet but close enough that it was easy access to and from the central location where I held a 2-day software training course. ||I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful and yet accessible place to stay while in Lusaka & the surrounding area. I wish I could have stayed longer and I hope to return to Zambia to have a chance to visit again. We have just had the most enjoyable stay at Hanlo Estate. We were a group of supporters of a sports team from the UK which stayed for around a week on this estate. Lilo and Hanno (our hosts) were so accommodating - both before we arrived in supplying us with much helpful information, and while we were staying, when no request was too much trouble. The rooms were a mixture of individual chalets and rooms in the family house - all were comfortable and inviting and the breakfasts were delicious. (Lilo even sourced English muffins which were made in the local bakery and accompanied the ‘traditional English’ breakfast). I can highly recommend a stay here, and hope to...
