The hotel looked attractive from outside so we decided to break our return journey here(stopped at Bayama on our way to Lake Tanganyrika)|This decision of choosing hotel on looks proved very wrong-the front side visible from road are the conference halls, the rooms are tucked in the back and face either construction site ,parking lot or walls of other rooms. The room rate is on higher side (K 750)They had family room but it had only one toiled so we went for two rooms.|The interior of the room must have been good at one time but now most of it in urgent need of repairs-the reading lamps are coming out of the wall, the taps are sticking out ,the glass doors on the bathroom cracked and will fall down any time if the door is pushed hard. The rooms face construction site which is very active till 5.30 om but then also you don't receive peace as the workers use that area to clean cars and loudly talk to each other. The water from the washed cars flow outside the door of the rooms and make it hard for you to step in and out-no door mats so the rooms is all muddy.||The only saving grace is the food-took 2 hours to prepare our order(the wait time they gave us so order food early)The food is really great and up to the standards of any good restaurant in Kitwe or Lusaka-the price too is reasonable .Our order was mixed with continental, oritental and Indian dishes and each one was good.|Surprisingly this is the only hotel we have found in Zambia which has jet spray in toilet -suitable for Asians...
Read moreWe stopped there for one night on our way back to Lusaka from the Lake Tanganyika. It was on the main road (T2) which was convenient. The room was spacious and nicely refurbished with a fridge and a kettle but unfortunately very dirty especially the bathroom (we did not see other rooms). We had to ask twice for a second towel and a coffee mug. Also the room telephone did not work. And it was impossible to use a wall plug next to our bed. They had a free WIFI. We also had dinner there (very tasty pizza). We were pleasantly surprised that they had a good choice of food. The restaurant was much cleaner. Also breakfast was very good although it was not ready when we came. They said breakfast from 6 am and we came at 6.20 am. The surrounding was nice and looked well kept. They charged us K380 per night with breakfast included which compared to other places was a great price and a good value for money. I would recommend this place but they really should focus more on cleanliness and...
Read moreIt was interesting to spend a night at this hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and clean and air-conditioned. There is however much room for improvement with water... We booked two rooms (my other family members occupied one while I took the other) as we were transiting to Lusaka. It was discouraging that the taps were literally dry in the shower rooms and a little drops of only cold water. Having a warm bath was therefore not possible. Food (ie supper) was great but again it would help if menus are printed and placed in the rooms for ease of checking what the hotel is providing as well as making orders at the restaurant... Generally, it's...
